My ex brother in law suffered a serious brain injury in a motorbike crash 30 odd years ago, and similar to Ricky was in a coma for a while. His has been a very long recovery, so I'm not surprised Ricky's progress is slow, but at least he's in good hands with his family. What a remarkable man his father is. He needs support as much as Ricky. As a father of a handicapped child myself I understand what he's going through. This very brave family deserve our support
Well until your promotion get their arse into gear and complete the line up it's all just speculation, guesswork and imagination. It's the same riders being mentioned over and over again.UP THE BORDERERS!!
I found that video very difficult to watch.
I've spent some time with Ricky in the Black & Gold after meetings, although I admit I've never spoken with him. Bandits fans hold him in the highest regard and deservedly so.
I was at Scunthorpe the night he had the accident and it was horrifying.
We will definitely be at Owlerton
I think he was a Coventry asset when he signed for Rye in 2005. I seem to recall that Len Silver bought his contract.
*edit*
Wikipedia reckons Rye House sold him to Lakeside in 2008
A little off topic. I went to see Berwick Rangers last Saturday. Crowd looked up on speedway attendances and at £12, cheaper than speedway. There were a couple of trucks serving some very decent grub, a few notches up on the scran served up at the speedway (haggis & chips excellent)
Saying that, it was probably the worst game of professional football that I've ever seen
