  1. Most of those would struggle in the MDL
  2. Jake Allen scored 6 points in the Aussie Champs first round http://speedwayupdates.proboards.com/thread/14100/australian-championship-round-gillman-january?page=1
  3. The little information I have is that he is the owner of an energy drink company in the Midlands with connections to Motorsport. I think he's an ex racing driver. Recently sold his farm for a very substantial sum. I've heard he has plans to upgrade the stadium for use other than speedway. I think the plan is for him to be involved in the stadium side of it, but not the speedway side. Hopefully this'll mean improved catering facilities The clue is in the photo
  4. I'd be surprised if he's buying the lease to the stadium solely for speedway use.
  5. My ex brother in law suffered a serious brain injury in a motorbike crash 30 odd years ago, and similar to Ricky was in a coma for a while. His has been a very long recovery, so I'm not surprised Ricky's progress is slow, but at least he's in good hands with his family. What a remarkable man his father is. He needs support as much as Ricky. As a father of a handicapped child myself I understand what he's going through. This very brave family deserve our support
  6. Well until your promotion get their arse into gear and complete the line up it's all just speculation, guesswork and imagination. It's the same riders being mentioned over and over again.UP THE BORDERERS!!
  7. http://www.football.co.uk/berwick_rangers/berwick_v_east_stirling_at_shielfield_park___match_preview_rss5364965.shtml#cXh4ROWT5PjEhwpg.97
  8. I found that video very difficult to watch. I've spent some time with Ricky in the Black & Gold after meetings, although I admit I've never spoken with him. Bandits fans hold him in the highest regard and deservedly so. I was at Scunthorpe the night he had the accident and it was horrifying. We will definitely be at Owlerton
  9. I think he was a Coventry asset when he signed for Rye in 2005. I seem to recall that Len Silver bought his contract. *edit* Wikipedia reckons Rye House sold him to Lakeside in 2008
  10. Take 11 blokes out of the crowd and they couldn't do any worse than that shower last week
  11. As a Rye House regular I'm used to turning up not knowing of any team changes because of poor PR
  12. Definitely Craig Dargo. He's 5ft 6 and dark haired, the other bloke is a blonde and 6ft 2
  13. In that case the only curry will be the sauce on my chips. Who was the little forward who came on in the second half? He looked useful
  14. I know it already: Bald, Jacobs, Drummond, Notman, Young, Fairbairn, Willis, Currie, Russell, Lavery, Maxwell
  15. To keep the peace he has both. He pi$$ed all over the Bandits one almost immediately while I was changing his nappy. That's ma boyCheers!
  16. You don't have to be in the Premier League
  17. Perhaps of they cut the grass a little shorter we may see some passing
  18. Giving it another go on Saturday. It can't be any worse surely?
  19. A little off topic. I went to see Berwick Rangers last Saturday. Crowd looked up on speedway attendances and at £12, cheaper than speedway. There were a couple of trucks serving some very decent grub, a few notches up on the scran served up at the speedway (haggis & chips excellent) Saying that, it was probably the worst game of professional football that I've ever seen
  20. I've been up here so long I'm beginning to lose my accent
  21. The demands will be excessive when they know they can virtually hold promotions to ransom
