  1. Depends who's in to replace him. Tyson Nelson on his Aussie Champs form would be a match winner
  2. That'll mean another last minute scramble for an available rider. Not an ideal situation
  3. Tyson had a reputation of being a bit of a lad. There are a few stories doing the rounds about some dodgy dealings, none have been substantiated. His Facebook status last Australia Day was disappointing.
  4. Let's hope for your sake he's more Adam Shields than Kurt Shields
  5. There's no point in sugar coating it, Jake Allens Aussie Champs scores have been less than impressive
  6. Riders were allowed one guest last year, other than a mechanic. There's a story going round that one rider smuggled SEVEN of his mates into Peterborough in the back of his van last year.
  7. One of the best racing tracks in the country, usually track competitive sides and the second best pie & peas in speedway. If you can't attract crowds with that you're really in trouble
  8. Yes, a much better performance from the Borderers this time, although East Stirling were terrible. If anything, it was even colder than last week
  9. He'd get more TV exposure as Poole are on SKY almost every week during the season. He'd get almost zero exposure sponsoring a PL side
  10. Tyson Nelson came 4th in the second round of the Aussie championships, beating Grajczonek, Fricke & Masters in the B final. Promising. Still no sign of a visa though
  11. Irony yet to reach Glasgow It was too cold to be enjoyable.
  12. Laser eye surgery would be a better option
  13. http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/most?s=t
  14. Madras on New Years Eve was delicious
  15. Most of those would struggle in the MDL
  16. Jake Allen scored 6 points in the Aussie Champs first round http://speedwayupdates.proboards.com/thread/14100/australian-championship-round-gillman-january?page=1
  17. The little information I have is that he is the owner of an energy drink company in the Midlands with connections to Motorsport. I think he's an ex racing driver. Recently sold his farm for a very substantial sum. I've heard he has plans to upgrade the stadium for use other than speedway. I think the plan is for him to be involved in the stadium side of it, but not the speedway side. Hopefully this'll mean improved catering facilities The clue is in the photo
  18. I'd be surprised if he's buying the lease to the stadium solely for speedway use.
  19. My ex brother in law suffered a serious brain injury in a motorbike crash 30 odd years ago, and similar to Ricky was in a coma for a while. His has been a very long recovery, so I'm not surprised Ricky's progress is slow, but at least he's in good hands with his family. What a remarkable man his father is. He needs support as much as Ricky. As a father of a handicapped child myself I understand what he's going through. This very brave family deserve our support
  20. Well until your promotion get their arse into gear and complete the line up it's all just speculation, guesswork and imagination. It's the same riders being mentioned over and over again.UP THE BORDERERS!!
