  1. I travelled to Somerset in August to find out that we were missing our number 1, Edward Kennett. Nothing on the Rockets website or official Twitter feed even though it was known fairly early in the day. First we heard of it was half an hour before the first heat
  2. If Glasgow have made an illegal approach, then they're bang out of order. I'm not surprised Brian Havelock is hacked off
  3. Some teams have more money than others, that's just the way it is. Glasgow happen to be this years moneybags team. Newport bought the KOC a few years ago and look where it got em
  4. Karaoke is best enjoyed when you're bladdered
  5. Are we talking about someone who was a world champion outside of speedway?
  6. You realise you've ruined my day as I won't rest until I know the answer Tai Woffinden (guest in 2008)
  7. We finished bottom of the pile last year. I'm not happy about that and have publicly slated the promotion for the team they put out, but I'd be devastated if we closed down.
  8. I wonder if Len Silver is thinking about replacing one assessed 7 point rider with another?
  9. What I don't get is why this bloke is still arguing the toss when the world and his dog knew ages ago that the five point assessed average was wrong. Somerset managed to get away with it last year with Kurtz, now they've been found out. What's there to argue about?
  10. You have a very high opinion of yourself. Most people here think you're an idiot.
  11. attention seeking How did you come up with that figure?
  12. I reckon somewhere between 8 & 8.25 would be a decent return
  13. ....but you think Bjerre & Skidmore can maintain 9 & 8 point averages?
  14. Why sign a rider that'll miss meetings due to long track?
  15. I'm pretty sure he's taking orders directly from Silver.
  16. Funny that Dave, I've been banging on about the raffle tickets all season. Most other clubs have people going round selling them before & during the meetings. As far as I know the only place they're sold now is at the entrance with the programmes. Supporters club was disbanded in the early 2000's amidst rumours of financial impropriety, not sure how much truth there is in that. I've had experience with the Berwick supporters club, which is well run. They organise subsidised away coach trips and an end of season presentation which are always well supported. I don't think you'd get as much of an enthusiastic response from Rye fans though. The days of Jan & Dave Longman organising the fantastic Rockets tours are long gone. Great times
