Whilst I agree with JmeRay & WHB, I'm wondering if the decision to call off would've been different had we been in a favourable position in the league with a full strength team in tip top form.

Forecasts can be hit and miss. Today's was changing throughout the day. Surely it would be worth waiting until around 4pm before making a decision. By mid afternoon the Met Office forecast was favourable.
