After snatching defeat from the joys of victory last Saturday I need a lift. Hopeful of a home win, but I can't say I'm overly confident -

All I ask is to spend my latter years somewhere warm, dry, quiet among simple folk and to not be disturbed often while I keep in touch with the outside world though the worldwide web. Maybe I should open a watch shop in Berwick -

Saw Adam ride on Saturday at Rye. Can't believe he's any worse than most of the Scunny riders tonight That would rule out most of the Scunny side

Rye House won the PL play offs in 2005 after being 4th by the cut off date. Birmingham eventually finished above us after they'd completed their rained off fixtures. I assume nothings changed (apart from Rye House no longer being play off contenders) -

That only worked well with the old bonus point system, unless you lower the points difference between the teams for when you can use the tac sub. -

I told you I wasn't comfortable with a 10 point lead Cliff. Agree with Gordon Bennett, an 8-1 has a massive psychological effect on both teams and with a side so low on confidence it can be devastating. -

I think it's here to stay. Rye House have profited from it in the past. No complaints Pretty sure Rob Woffinden was a Len Silver signing. Broken collarbone ended his stint at Rye House, ironically at my first ever speedway meeting, a double header v Poole/Edinburgh on 8th September 1985 -

Agree with you about Olly. Looks rather Simon Lambertish around Rye sometimes, but he has the aggression that we've been missing at reserve. Will improve and could be a trump card on larger tracks. Worth looking at for next year. TR rule works both ways. Somerset were fortunate in this case that they caught us napping at the gate. Never felt comfortable, even with a ten point lead, as I mentioned to Cliffboy before heat 8. Edward hasn't let anyone down this season. He was never going to live up to that ridiculous average he was saddled with at the start of the year. Anything around 8.5 is acceptable for a guy racing for only one team while holding down a full time job. Therein lies our problem. The majority of the side are racing exclusively for Rye House, not enough track time. Only Olly, Jason Garrity & Anders are racing elsewhere, in the EL against mostly NL riders and Anders is just feeling his way back from a serious spinal injury racing in the Swedish second division. Racing with a steel rod in your back knowing that another serious crash could potentially shatter your spine can be rather off putting I should think. -

Injured his shoulder at Ipswich on Thursday. Intense physio on Friday did the job -

Decent meeting tonight, quite entertaining. I thought the Rockets were desperately unlucky to lose this. Allen getting away with some shocking rolling starts. Much better performance from the Rockets, looking like they had a point to prove. Hopefully we can take something from this and take the points off Newcastle on Wednesday. -

Somerset will be buzzing after their last visit when they took us apart. See if Kennetts shoulder holds up, he could be the key. The weather won't come to our rescue tonight. Expect an away win, but only by 8-10 points -
Not sure where you got this from. If true it's a bizarre decision

Is this the same Ronny Russell who told Rye fans who voiced concerns at the teams poor results to, "fu*k off if you don't like it"?
-
Officially he has a shoulder injury, unofficially he just didn't fancy it.
