Agree with Rockets. Enjoyed the meeting from a different vantage point right underneath the refs box. Some good racing with Luke's double pass being the highlight. Lots of laughter watching the efforts of Calamity Konopka. What on earth Redcar were thinking of bringing this joker over from Poland when there are young British lads looking for a team place? One of the biggest cheers of the night were when he completed four laps without falling. Pathetic effort. The track held up pretty well considering half was baked in sunshine early on while the other half was in shade. Like Rockets I too noticed that the team looked more perky tonight, the team changes look to have helped.

I was waiting for the interval as I was tweeting updates, but the interval never came. By the time heat 12 arrived I was desperate, but by then they'd sold out of chips!! As for the meeting, pretty much as I expected and remembered from a previous visit. One line around the inside, move off the line, or try to go wide around the bends and you were buggered. How else could a gating tart like Chris Mills score a bucket load of points? That track could do with some banking, then it may provide some entertainment. Just pleased to get away with everyone in one piece.

Rye House told Newcastle not to come next week before asking Berwick if they were available. Well, they're not, so we have no meeting at all next Saturday. You couldn't make it up!!

I was planning on grabbing a Scotch pie & cheeseburger before dashing off to the back straight, as far away from Dick Barrie as possible as I'm sure he had a surprise or two in store for me. He already had one prepared in the meeting programme which he gave me a copy of!!
