  1. My disappointment was aimed at the performance in general, not at Silver. The evening was topped off when I discovered that the 4 horse Yankee I was gonna put on, but didn't have time due to updating, returned over £50. My misery is complete!!
  2. It was when we had Jason Doyle as a temporary signing for a while while Steve Boxall was injured a couple of years ago. When Steve was fit to return Doyles services were dispensed with, despite him top scoring just about everywhere. Most of us expected him to be retained and a few voiced their disaproval during the pre meeting coin toss. This is when Silver had his rant. Silver went on to explain that rules stated that Doyle had to go, but I later learned that Doyle had been assured a couple of weeks earlier that he was in for the season
  3. You've gotta be drugged up to follow Rye House these days
  4. If I was a Bandits fan I'd be disappointed not to go home with a win. I'm off to buy some rope
  5. No white wine, no mushy peas. What the hell is going on?
  6. If I was to say what I'm thinking i'd be banned by the moderators. Anyone who read my Twitter updates will get the general feeling that I'm not a happy chappie tonight. Thank The Lord we had a new team captain to inspire the side, otherwise it could've been a lot worse
  7. The Worky fans created the only atmosphere I've heard at Rye this year. They were having a great time!!
  8. What a bunch of crap Never mind at home, they'd win here!!
  9. Currently having a light shower, but it looks bright enough around. Shouldn't affect conditions too much as it's quite breezy.
  10. Kasper and Stefan going into bend one together in heat 2... Best of luck!!
  11. Sorry to put a dampner on things, but it's pretty wet in Hoddesdon this morning and by the look of it more to come
  12. Silver and public relations. A marriage made in hell
  13. Find it ironic that a Panthers fan would moan about the lack of variety after years in the Elite League
  14. I said last week that if it wasn't for the fact we lived less than 5 minutes drive from the track we would be picking and choosing home meetings. That's the level of my interest these days
  15. The guy who manages Kings Lynn hasn't done too bad either. Pretty sure he's never been a speedway rider
  16. Very similar situation last week when Stead rode Steen Jensen hard into the first bend. Jensen fell and excluded.
  17. Couldn't give a toss if my team has Brits, Danes, Aussies or Martians as long as they're winning. Rye House has six Brits and look where we are.
  18. Quite a lot of rain forecast for the morning, but nothing after early afternoon. Touch and go
  19. Glasgows Theo Pijper fined £100 a couple of weeks ago for doing just that
  20. An extra couple of points courtesy of Taylor Poole being "unable" to clear the track in time
  21. A poor show by Edward Kennett and Taylor Poole deciding not to clear the track with the Rockets on a 5-1 cost us a point at least. Made Sheffield look a decent outfit which is something we seem to be doing to a few sides this year. Only Tres, Jason Bunyan and to a lesser extent Jason Garrity can come out of the meeting with any credit. Stefan Nielsen showing us just why he's out injured so often with a crazy dive inside Josh Bates which could've been very nasty. A ridiculously torturous journey up arriving 5 minutes before heat one due to heavy traffic and road works, then various lane closures on the journey home made it a night to forget. What on earth happened to our new "inspirational" captain?
  22. Rye House have a habit of early call offs. Clever money is on 9.30-10.00
