  1. Impresed with the set up. I'm sure the minor gripes will be sorted. Disappointed I can't make the regular Monday night's. Best of luck
  2. http://speedwayupdates.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=kt13&action=display&thread=12180 There's a link on there to the Twitter heat details
  3. Huge crowd, approaching 3,000 I'd say. Great weather, marvellous stadium, but they will struggle to complete many 15 heat meetings with an 8.30pm curfew. Garrity was a class apart, but Boxall kept him on his toes. Heat 13 was a cracker until Boxalls chain snapped enterIng the last lap. Liked the look of young Sims, but who was the fat kid at 6 for the Yanks? If anyone says to me "if you think you can do better...", I probably could! Kings have shot themselves in the foot with the line up. Coles should be at reserve. Very weak looking side Boxall and Morley excepted. Couple of gripes: nothing to dry your hands on in the bogs and no PA on 1st bend. Best of luck for the season ahead.
  4. Spot on. I love my visits to Berwick and the people are great, but boy, do they take their speedway seriously! If Berwick lose at home it's like someone's died in our house.
  5. Pefectly possible. He was 12 when Fleetwood finally closed for speedway
  6. I'm sure there will be adequate replacements. There are plenty of Southern based NL lads looking for a ride this early in the season with them starting later than the EL/PL riders. There are no other NL meetings taking place tomorrow and as it's a Bank Holiday work commitments shouldn't be too much of a problem.
  7. Not the greatest spectacle potentially for a much publicised first meeting, but I'm sure the Kent promotion weren't to know that the US team would be so weak when they were booked. There are probably better riders left back at home who couldn't afford the time and money to travel over, which is a shame. I've not seen the incidents in question, but it seems from updates to be the two injured lads being up to speed, but not used to the tricky tracks at Buxton and Rye. The more inexperienced American riders were out of contention and stayed out of trouble. I'll still be there to support this new venture.
  8. What's happened to Henning Bager? Saw him at Rye House where he struggled.
  9. I told you I wasn't an expert! I've only been to around a dozen or so meetings since my "debut" in 2005, but even I've noticed how passing has become more and more infrequent in recent years. The races seem much more spread out now. Whether it's the track or the quality of the riders I can't say. Berwick are certainly missing Lee Complin.
  10. I'm no expert on speedway bikes, but reading some of the posts on the subject is it fair to say that the new silencers mean the bikes struggle on deep grippy tracks?
  11. The "Dream Team" tour of the UK is turning into a nightmare! I hope the two young lads aren't too badly injured.
  12. Rocco Scopellite was injured at Buxton today and taken by ambulance to hospital. That's the only two competetive Americans potentially out of this meeting after Gino Manzares was injured at Rye House last night. I don't wanna put a dampner on Kent Kings big day, but isn't the meeting itself gonna be a bit of damp squib?
  13. Can't argue with you on the financial aspect. I'm sure that there are people who would love a night at the speedway, but have to give it a miss due to money issues.
  14. B4E and I will definitely be there. Is Gino Manzares fit to race after his crash at Rye last night?
  15. Oh come on! The track improvements have only helped the visiting sides. Berwick used to be a place that other teams feared going to, now they're rubbing their hands together. Are you honestly telling me these are better times than 2005, when you were unbeatable at home and won a fair few away?
  16. How's those new team race suits working out for you?
  17. Happy to see Emil win. 7 points between the top 6 riders. Can't wait for Cardiff!!!
  18. I had to watch my dad dying through cancer last year. He finally passed away last September, so I know how Emil is feeling right now. Probably worse for him as he's so much younger.
  19. He won't have an easier evening against Sheffields poor reserves
  20. Surely Silver wouldn't have deliberately called Saturdays meeting off knowing Tyson wouldn't be there?
  21. Tai did a couple of years in the PL at Rye House. Didn't do him any harm whatsoever. Worse thing Robert could do is go down the Lewis Bridger route and skip the PL altogether. Like you, I don't think cash will be the motive. Rye look after their favoured riders very well.
  22. Any truth in the rumour that Harris was making noises about not riding in the SWC if he didn't recieve a wild card spot? Perhaps he was being leaned on by sponsors?
