  1. Nope, he said nothing about the situation. Nicki Glanz has tweeted that his cheque bounced
  2. Both Newcastle & Edinburgh airports are within an hour of Berwick
  3. Thing is, the team captain has to sign before every meeting to say they've been paid the week before.
  4. Gossip is one rider is owed 6K and there are more bouncing cheques than than on a kids birthday party bouncy castle in Prague
  5. Thread started ages ago Sid http://www.speedway-forum.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=71231&pid=2179055&st=15entry2179055
  6. Well, an eventful first ever visit to Plymouth. First impressions were to giggle at the basic facilities, reminded me of Buxton. The gents were an experience I'll not want to repeat in a hurry. We stood on the 2nd bend, but had to move as it became too dark to read the programme. The back straight viewing is fantastic. So close to the action you could almost touch the riders as they passed. Tiny track, but some good racing, especially heat 15 where Ryan Fisher excelled. The walk back to the distant car park was an adventure. Firstly around the back of the 1st and 2nd bends in almost total darkness, then down an unlit path along an abandoned railway line! The people we stood next to were friendly and the crowd was pretty good for a side close to the foot of the league. Shame about all of the nonsense surrounding the club. The Plymouth fans deserve better.
  7. Plus bad feeling, shocking language and perhaps a punch up!
  8. Well, riders owed money, cheques bouncing, various other goings on... All allegedly I should add. Nothing new from what we've been hearing this year. Shame, cos the Devils fans we've met today have been lovely people. They deserve better.
  9. Strange goings on here. The referee has ordered the gates locked until a "dispute" has been resolved!! More news when I receive it
  10. Don't be ridiculous. They will win tonight and in the return at Rye House next Saturday
  11. I don't see why he can't race for a Saturday or weekday track in the NL, and race in Germany on the Sunday via an overnight ferry. His age may mean he would be limited to a Saturday track with school being a consideration. Of course it depends very much on the make up of the NL in 2013. If rumours I've heard are true he will have less tracks to choose from. If he decides to race in both Britain and Germany that would rule out Mildenhall and Buxton. I hope he doesn't go down the Lewis Bridger route and miss out the PL and go straight into the EL
  12. From what I've seen you'll just have enough, but it will be close. Depends how Joe Haines does.
  13. Stick it in the suggestion box, or better still just stick it!
  14. It's a vicious circle Hodgie. Build a team cheaply and crowds will be low, sign a couple of top marque riders and they will return but ONLY if the club is properly promoted. By that I mean a total rethink of admission prices. Family tickets, a proper bar, efforts made to get stay away fans to return, a total revamp of the tired looking programme and a rethink of the match day presentation. Maybe a suggestion box by the turnstiles to see what the people really want. This winter is a marvellous opportunity to drag Rye House Speedway out of the doldrums. Let's hope it's not wasted.
  15. Underplaying your chances. I ain't buying it
  16. I wasn't 100% sure. Thought you may be a schizophrenic
  17. Personally I'd welcome him back, but would prefer to see Jason Doyle
  18. Plymouth is the only current Premier League track I've yet to visit, so it'd be foolish for me to pass up an opportunity to pay a visit.
