  1. Cruel perhaps, but it can't be doing his confidence any good the way he's going.
  2. Please please please take him back. I'll drive him up there myself
  3. Shows that with a little effort you can find a resonably inexpensive room. Why on earth anyone would want to sleep in a field?
  4. Rye House Rocket 2014... Nailed on! Hasn't stopped Adam Roynon
  5. Can't see Len walking away. He bought the lease on the stadium, so hardly likely to just up sticks and move on. Finding someone to take it over would be difficult in the financial climate. Anyone else wanting to run speedway at Rye House would have to stump up the rent before a wheel was turned. I have no idea if Andrew has any interest in taking over, I suspect not. Greyhounds never made any money at Rye, so that's out of the question. The only way you'll make any money out of the stadium would be to flatten it and put up houses and/or flats. Let's hope it doesn't come down to that.
  6. Decided to give this a miss. What with the cost of fuel travelling up from London and a 6am start from work the next day. Plus the fact that the Rockets have virtually given up this year makes the trip unappealing.
  7. I was lucky to witness that first hand and still can't believe he made up do much ground.
  8. Don't judge him against that shower of s*ite. He was okish in the NL meeting at Rye, nothing special. He has a 4 point NL average for a reason.
  9. Could well be one of the "number of things" that Neathy was talking about. Can't be simply a coincidence that the number of racing injuries seems to have soared in recent years.
  10. Nice to read some positive comments regarding Rye House for a change. The reputation of Rye House as a dry, dusty track seems to have been consigned to history, but you'll still get the uninformed using the old "Dry House" put down.
  11. Only Jason Bunyan remains from our starting 1-7. Had a chat with Chris Neath and asked him if he thought it was the new silencers. He thinks it's partly due to that, but it is really a number of things. The bikes are more difficult to control, slower to react to the throttle. Ok if you're riding with the throttle wide open, but not as responsive when you have to use the throttle to control the speed of the bike on tighter tracks. I wasn't taking notes, but that was the jist of what he said
  12. Not taking any credit away from the Witches, but please don't brush over the fact that the Rockets were awfully weak. Doubt they'll have an easier away day this year
  13. Still confused. Is that because Spain is in the EU? If so, why do Danes and Swedes come in on 7.00 assessed averages?
  14. Are you serious? I was rubbing my hands together when I heard we'd signed him, but he's hardly put anything on his average and to me has been disappointing. Still a reserve after a poor season for the middle order and less than .4 on his average is enough to convince me to look elsewhere. Please convince me otherwise
  15. Indeed. Their Scotch pies are legendary. I've been the lucky recipient of a bulk load on a couple of occasions I'm disappointed I couldn't have been up for the marvellous hog roast. The hog roast the Andersons put on after the Rye House meeting in 2010 was awesome! Very generous promotion. The Bandits fans are a lucky bunch
  16. Camping is for scouts and tramps. No sane adult should contemplate sleeping outside in this country, waking up to wet grass and having to crap in a bucket.
