Dunno if it's old age or if this was a hastily arranged meeting, but I couldn't find a thread for this afternoons Buxton vs Raiders/Cobras fixture... Anyway, great win for the Rye House junior side. I can't recall them ever winning at Buxton before... Obviously the choice of guest helped a little

I was told there were between 150-200 people on the terraces last night, not good considering there was nothing on TV, apart from the boxing and no GP to be up against... How many would there be without the hordes of Hackney fans that have suddenly decided to show up now that the Cobras are riding under a different name with a change of race bibs? How about bringing back the Raiders/Cobras asap?

Some of them ain't so old
-
"Old bags" you called 'em!!
-
A few people in the houses close to the track have complained about the noise in the past I'm told... 9.30 does seem pretty early for a curfew though. No wonder the Bandits find it difficult to hold second half races!
-
You're an idiot if you think that, stop showing yourself up

He injured his knee when Linus gave him no room whatsoever coming out of the second bend... He clattered into the fence right in front of where I was standing that night!!
-
I'm sure every right thinking speedway fan is concerned when a rider is injured.
-
Hmmmm... I wonder what your dad thinks after confidently predicting at Rye last Sunday that we'd not get 30 points tonight?
-
Happy with a point Glenn?
-
A point is more than I could've wished for at Berwick, especially with Neathy missing and Jordan missing his last 2 rides... Bad news about Alex Edberg though, kinda puts a dampner on any Bandits celebrations I would guess... Best wishes to him and Jordan.

and 2 points down by heat 13!!

Chest infection, I did say!!
-
Add another 10 points to that and you'll be in the right area... Rider replacement for Chris Neath tonight, chest infection

Plus you can't take your dogs into the stadium Unfortunately in a crowd of 40,000+ you're bound to get a few trouble makers, especially when the booze has been flowing freely all day and the jingoistic attutude of some of the morons out there doesn't help either... Surely the answer is a police presence inside the stadium... Stewards on the whole don't want to get involved, but the sight of a few dozen Heddlu would surely put a lot of the potential trouble makers off... The main reason I suspect is cost. Stewards are the cheap option, but as with most things you gets what you pays for! -

No brainer surely? ...I'd always side with the people who actually have to race on it... Perhaps by "the best", NP meant "the least bumpy and rut free!!" -

We had the pleasure of meeting Nikki Pedersen at Leigh Delamere Services on Thursday morning. He stood and posed for a photo and had a quick chat... We also sat at the next table to Freddie Lindgren and his family/sponsors in an Italian Restaurant on Friday evening. Although it was obvious that we knew who he was we didn't bother him as respected the fact he was out enjoying his evening before an important occasion. If it'd been out on the street we certainly would've spoken to him and taken photo's, but in a restaurant no way! -

I compare the Cardiff GP to the Monaco F1 GP... The racing very rarely lives up to expectations, but as a must be at event it's pretty hard to beat!... If finances and work commitments permit I can't see any way that I'd ever want to miss a Cardiff GP weekend. -

From what I've seen in the artists impression the new Manchester track will be more of a Leicester/Newcastle shape than Hyde Road which for what I've seen in photos was more like the Sheffield/Peterborough in shape although slightly longer I'd imagine -

To be fair to Ben, unless you were standing on a box it would be difficult to make any sort of eye contact with you! -

Cardiff is the perfect place... Smack bang in the middle of all those bars, clubs and restaurants... Let's hope they get something sorted. -

I'll throw in my twopenneth in and say that although the racing was on the whole pretty dull, the weekend as a whole was fantastic... For anyone who arrives on Saturday afternoon and just goes to the GP then toodles off home I can understand why they were less than impressed... Those of us lucky people's weekend started on Thursday with Jonno's meeting at Swindon, then spent Friday evening at the Walkabout, Saturday afternoon in the Prince of Wales with some quality shopping thrown in with great company can't wait until next years event!! -
Corner of St Mary's Street and Wood Street (the road that leads up to the stadium) Entrance/exit to the pub on both streets map of Cardiff City centre I'll be there as usual... Normally a good turnout, although some are pretty shy in coming forward, so please identify yourself to the short Greek chap

Cardiff Tickets On Day

Last years entertainment was pretty good... Friday night in the Walkabout. Jason Doyle and Darcy Ward pissed and making total arses of themselves before being thrown out by a burly female bouncer. Watching Ward being chased around the bar by her before she "removed him from the premises" was probably the highlight of the weekend!! Also, in 2008, Andrew Tully being chased down St Mary's Street by the Heddlu at 3am!!
