  1. Not sure if he's still at it, but I did hear he'd taken up boxing
  2. Boxall on good equipment is a 7-8 point man.
  3. August 2014 http://speedwayupdates.proboards.com/thread/13709/somerset-rye-house-pl-30pm
  4. He supposedly turned up to a Rye press & practice day with his bike still dirty from the previous season. I think the meeting you mentioned was the one I was at. The tractors grading the track were quicker than that bike
  5. To be fair, a fit and motivated Steve Boxall is a pretty decent rider. Trouble is he's had numerous chances at various clubs and always lets you down in the end.
  6. Would equate to a 8.88 average (if it's x 0.6 EL to PL) and Lakeside already have 2 double uppers
  7. Most riders new to British speedway are a gamble. Peter Karger on a 5 point average. Now that's a gamble and one that's gone spectacularly t*ts up
  8. I never claimed that. I have no idea how many clubs were interested, or if BWD was interested in going there. Do you?Having seen him in the NL a few times I was convinced he'd attain his average at least
  9. I said some good points. Hard to disagree that the stadium has had virtually nothing done to it for months, Kasper throwing points away with his terrible reactions at the tapes, Robbo throwing away a point in heat 13 (maybe machinery issues). The iffy track on Sunday when it's generally been good all year. I also agree with Chris that we're up for some serious beatings over the coming weekend. That's not me being pessimistic, that's being realistic.
  10. That was a very weird evening. Rockets took to the wet track like ducks to water, the Bandits struggled. Can't see our reserves scoring anywhere near 18 points
  11. I thought he made some good points. No good trying to sugar coat it
  12. Track covers are great, but you need a small army of volunteers to take em up and put em back down. Berwick seem to have a few willing to put their time and effort into it, but I'm not sure how many other tracks would have enough people willing to do it. Then there's the problem of tracks like Lakeside, Scunthorpe, Ipswich and Mildenhall who share their tracks with stock cars. Who's responsible for removing and putting down the covers before and after their meetings?
  13. Len Silver was, but when the new promotion took over either they weren't interested, or BWD wasn't.
  14. BWD and ZW a gamble? Do me a favour. You don't watch NL racing obviously.
  15. Where have you been all season? If you were gonna put your mortgage on one result this year then this would be it
  16. Never enjoyed double headers. Thank the Lord we only have one more left this year.
  17. Returning the favour from when Kennett beat him twice at the OTA in June
