Berwick Vs Glasgow 27/7/16
Shadders replied to allthegearbutnaeidea's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Ain't that the truth. If I hadn't already paid for my flight up and train home I'd probably have to give the Rockets Northern tour a miss next week -
I'm not sure most of them knew what they were getting before they arrived, or surely they would've made some sort of protest before Saturday. If so, then I'm amazed. Would you turn up for work not knowing what pay rate you were on? Didn't seem to affect the majority of them. Some battling performances including a bit of argy bargy on Sunday involving team mates Bjerre and Andersen

Probably hadn't taken his meds before he posted that.

The asset system is a joke anyway

I'll be honest, I'm only here to accompany the missus and our sprog. Not really a fan of individual, pairs and 4TT meetings
-
That's the all in figure I was told they were on. They were also told they had to be at a rider briefing at 11.30am, even though some didn't take to the track until 7pm

When I heard that the riders were only on £163 flat rate for yesterday I thought we'd see some going through the motions. Thankfully most seemed to be giving it their best. Not sure the reason for Edwards below par performance yesterday

Who or what are the Wulsons? 5.38 average in 2015 according to my calculations

I incurred the wrath of Len Silver through my updates a couple of years ago. He even felt the need to go to the local rag to voice his displeasure, even mentioning me by name. Once, on the way back from an away meeting at Sheffield where we had been well and truly turned over, we bumped into each other at Woodall Services. "Here's the spy in the camp" he remarked as I walked past. I can't remember another time he's acknowledged me in over 30 years as a Rye fan. Safe to say I wasn't on his xmas card list!

Like diving for a penalty, or punching the ball into the net like Thierry Henry or Diego Maradonna
-
That's more like it
-
They'd still beat Rangers or Celtic
-
Not quite what I had in mind. Not enough quality riders for 20+ teams in the top two tiers, so doubling up/down is a necessity.
-
Quickest 15 heat meeting I've been to was at Redcar about three years ago. Steady drizzle from heat 1, so they hurried it on and was completed in an hour and 5 minutes
-
Too many teams?
-
Having seen him at Ipswich and Peterborough recently I can assure you he's doing everything possibly to lower that average

Alternatively offer huge wages... struggle to pay them... close down, maybe never to return. Newport bought the KOC, next season they were gone, probably forever. Berwick are never going to attract massive crowds. There just isn't the population or interest out there.

He's not a Kent fan
