  1. Ain't that the truth. If I hadn't already paid for my flight up and train home I'd probably have to give the Rockets Northern tour a miss next week
  2. I'm not sure most of them knew what they were getting before they arrived, or surely they would've made some sort of protest before Saturday. If so, then I'm amazed. Would you turn up for work not knowing what pay rate you were on? Didn't seem to affect the majority of them. Some battling performances including a bit of argy bargy on Sunday involving team mates Bjerre and Andersen
  3. Probably hadn't taken his meds before he posted that.
  4. The asset system is a joke anyway
  5. I'll be honest, I'm only here to accompany the missus and our sprog. Not really a fan of individual, pairs and 4TT meetings
  6. That's the all in figure I was told they were on. They were also told they had to be at a rider briefing at 11.30am, even though some didn't take to the track until 7pm
  7. When I heard that the riders were only on £163 flat rate for yesterday I thought we'd see some going through the motions. Thankfully most seemed to be giving it their best. Not sure the reason for Edwards below par performance yesterday
  8. Who or what are the Wulsons? 5.38 average in 2015 according to my calculations
  9. Interesting http://www.berwickbandits.co/article/bandits-get-their-man
  10. I incurred the wrath of Len Silver through my updates a couple of years ago. He even felt the need to go to the local rag to voice his displeasure, even mentioning me by name. Once, on the way back from an away meeting at Sheffield where we had been well and truly turned over, we bumped into each other at Woodall Services. "Here's the spy in the camp" he remarked as I walked past. I can't remember another time he's acknowledged me in over 30 years as a Rye fan. Safe to say I wasn't on his xmas card list!
  11. When I first saw NBJ at Rye I thought he'd be hitting and maintaining an 8 point average. When I read he'd signed for Peterborough I was certain he would. Not progressed as I expected.
  12. Like diving for a penalty, or punching the ball into the net like Thierry Henry or Diego Maradonna
  13. They'd still beat Rangers or Celtic
  14. Rockets managed to get a point there a couple of weeks ago and we're rubbish. Funny old game innit?
  15. Wait until Morrissey Fan finishes delivering his leaflets. He'll be livid
  16. Not quite what I had in mind. Not enough quality riders for 20+ teams in the top two tiers, so doubling up/down is a necessity.
  17. Quickest 15 heat meeting I've been to was at Redcar about three years ago. Steady drizzle from heat 1, so they hurried it on and was completed in an hour and 5 minutes
  18. Having seen him at Ipswich and Peterborough recently I can assure you he's doing everything possibly to lower that average
  19. Alternatively offer huge wages... struggle to pay them... close down, maybe never to return. Newport bought the KOC, next season they were gone, probably forever. Berwick are never going to attract massive crowds. There just isn't the population or interest out there.
  20. All rests on IF Bewley was instructed to race for Belle Vue by the BSPA and when Edinburgh for told he'd have to. When it's known how much time Edinburgh had to find a replacement is the defining factor
  21. I remember him at Rye in his earlier days, shocking. Towards the end of his career he'd sussed it out though and was pretty handy there
