Track covers are great, but you need a small army of volunteers to take em up and put em back down. Berwick seem to have a few willing to put their time and effort into it, but I'm not sure how many other tracks would have enough people willing to do it. Then there's the problem of tracks like Lakeside, Scunthorpe, Ipswich and Mildenhall who share their tracks with stock cars. Who's responsible for removing and putting down the covers before and after their meetings?

Len Silver was, but when the new promotion took over either they weren't interested, or BWD wasn't.

Usual Raiders story. Three riders scoring the majority of the points. Just 8 points from the other four guys. Impressed with Smith, Hume over trying on his return to Rye. Well done to those who hung about until the end.

Meeting too stop start to be enjoyable for me. The track didn't look in great shape. No home meeting for five weeks didn't help the home team get in the groove, but in truth Somerset were the better all round side and deserved the win. No work done on the stadium in the mid season break either.

Rye House have to race many away meetings, so they're in a false position. I can genuinely see Berwick progress into the next round of the KOC, but do you really think you have a chance in a 2 leg semi final against Newcastle, Somerset, Glasgow, or Edinburgh?

Pretty sure Robs average is no more than Lee Paynes, so the ruling doesn't make sense
