  1. He was supposed to have a month out to rest his knee, but came back after a week?
  2. Only 9 points between the sides last year, I reckon this'll be a lot closer. Rain forecast to arrive by 4pm, so they'll have to get on with it. The second half Raiders match may be a casualty. Shame, because Sunday's weather forecast is rain free during the day.
  3. Rockets narrow home LC win against Somerset looks a good result now. I suspect the PL meeting will be rather different
  4. Thousands all stopped going because they're fed up with speedway? There's gotta be more to it than that
  5. When another club closes due to poor attendances and you remember the day you stayed in to watch TV... what's the matter with people these days?
  6. That's the one Spinny, senior moment. Stayed there one year after the PLRC. Nice n handy after drinking too much to drive home!
  7. Just as well it's cheap as I fear it could be a wasted journey, sadly.
  8. As I recall, the rule was British reserves would stay at reserve for the season. About May/June Boxall was averaging around 8 points, Armstrong over 7, so the BSPA abandoned that idea!Someone's bound to correct some or all of that, my memory ain't what it was!!
  9. The PL reserve rule was changed mid season effecting Rye House and Mildenhall, 2006 I think it was. Don't turn this into an anti Poole thing.
  10. If the riders don't want to race there's nothing you can do
  11. How can you predict the score without knowing the opposition line up?
  12. He was signed by Rye on a 3.27 average, but you can knock 3 points off that the way he's been riding
  13. Don't see what all the fuss is with Ellis. Unless he misses the gate all you're gonna see is him half a lap ahead of the others after 4 laps.
  14. I hadn't realised IOW had changed their race night to Thursday's. Any reason why they've changed it from Tuesday?
  15. Bloody hell, 2008! Didn't realise it was that long ago.
  16. Will travel to IOW on a Tuesday, but complain about a Sunday meeting at Rye House? Last time I was at Smallbrook was for a PL meeting against Berwick in October, possibly in their last season before closing. There were no more than 150 people there. I hope the crowds pick up once the holiday season starts. Sorry to say, but I don't think speedway is sustainable on the island
  17. My information is that Len Silver is a big fan of BWD was all set to sign him for this years Rockets side until he parted ways with Rye House.
  18. Hard to tell after one meeting. Don't be surprised if he's picked up by a PL side very soon. I'll gloss over the rest of that nonsense post if you don't mind.
