  1. Blimey, I didn't realise it'd been that long. I had 1968 in my head for some reason. The 38 years is just a heads gone poor maths moment on my part. Thanks for correcting. I'd like to echo your words regarding John. We used to have a good rapport until my personal spat with Len Silver. As a fellow postie I wish him well and thank him for his efforts and loyal service. Three
  2. This was on the cards as soon as Len Silver severed his ties with Rye House I'm surprised that anyone's surprised.
  3. Just been Tweeted by Rye House. Not really a surprise. Seems like the new promotion are severing all ties with the previous regime. Interesting times ahead
  4. Pretty sure Berwick speedway under Peter Waite used to provide accommodation for two or three of their overseas riders during the season. I don't begrudge Glasgow pouring money into speedway. It keeps another club from closing, but it also gives some small minded people a stick to beat them with.
  5. He has a job Shouldn't there be a comma after "oh dear"?
  6. Do you know how much they're being paid, or is it just hearsay?
  7. Manners perhaps, but the rest of what you said is nonsense
  8. Did OK in the Premier League. Hawkins was a 7 point rider not that long ago
  9. Barry' Briggs half decent? There's also an alternative list: Crump, Louis, Silver, Blackbird, Poole, Hawkins... off the top of my head
  10. I only mentioned Sunderland because I'm sure I remember fellow forum member White Knight bemoaning the fact that Len Silver had closed down his beloved Stars
  11. Wasn't Len Silver the promoter when Crewe & Sunderland closed for speedway?
  12. My other halfs mothers from Berwick Upon Tweed
  13. I had mine back within a week using that service
  14. Chris Neath spent some time with Kasper on his gating technique. If he couldn't help him then nobody can. Karger will start at reserve
  15. He started 2015 off very well, but tailed off towards the end due to injury and U21 commitments. I reckon the showground track will suit him well. I'd expect him to put at least a point on his average. It's criminal that he was allowed to leave Rye House
  16. You must be the only Rye fan that has anything positive to say
