  1. Poor racing track-very slick, no grip, gate & go, virtually no passing& very boring to watch, waste of £13.99. Poole underperformed,There may well have been reasons but IMO: Lawson-disapointing, Newman-poor, Kerr-average, Bowes-poor, Cook-Ok, Cairns disapointing but only 16, Rushen-OK 12 points should make 2nd leg interesting but generally Poole excel at Poole
  2. Not sure the reason for swapping riding positions of Cook & Kerr?
  3. Clearly, Lawson is still suffering from the crash with Tobias on Good Friday. I think last night was his lowest score since joining the Pirates. Pickering will probably end up top rider in this league but opposition from Masters, Lawson, Harris & Dan Thompson
  4. Complete farce, don't care about keeping fans updated. No wonder it's a dying sport in this country. Odd though that Scunthorpe, Plymouth and Poole have made major signings, so they must know something
  5. But he was generally a strong rider in heat 14, Kerr was too inconsistent to ride at 5. Rowe was good early to mid-season but injury to groin hindered him for latter part of season.
  6. Difficult call. Possibly Thompson & Flint below expectations but this certainly applied to Rowe and Kerr at Poole. Will be an interesting return leg, particularly if Nagel absent.
  7. Agreed. Let's hope they perform better at Glasgow. As for Sept 7th, no doubt Glasgow will want a rain off which must be a possibility for Scotland.
  8. Zach and Anders (who may be suffering from injury) need to up their performances, particularly out of the gate. I appreciate track conditions haven't been ideal but it's the same for both teams and Workington and Plymouth both were close to us despite injured riders!!! Tobias always tries but is also struggling. Will and Paul are doing their jobs.
  9. Is British Gp 2 separate GPs or one aggregate over the 2 meetings?

  10. Wrong Clive! Track was kept watered witt some good racing. Great to see Danny ride well, would have preferred him to Steve but one had to go.
  11. I understand Boughen is taking a rest from the sport
  12. Even without Thompson & the hardly equal guest replacements, Poole will find it very tough. Our best bet is the weather to intervene but even then, it will be difficult.
  13. Great news, so fingers crossed for a speedy return. Question now is Starke or Ritchings is to be released. On Wednesday result I would imagine Ritchings but next few matches will be telling. At the moment we look like a play off side but not champions. Tonight's match beggars belief-Mulford for Zach and Barker for Boughen!!! Even without the flying Thomson I think we will struggle, Richard and Anders can't win the match for us!
  14. Not really. when they met Starke had the gate advantage
  15. after tonight is Starke safe or will Ricchings be retained? Next weeks meeting should be good-Cairns, Rushen, Vinnie Ford & Ritchings + more exciting riders. Looking forward to it
  16. Agreed. Track is a disgrace Hardly an overtake. Gate 4 a grave. Kerr & Starke disappoint again
  17. Agree with Lewy. Rode well for Poole to start but went off form very quickly, admittedly when moved to 2. Leicester weren't happy with something and released him very quickly
  18. Agreed 100%. We were very lucky. Injury to Polis and Edinburgh efs when on 5-1's handed us the match. we are a 2 rider team plus probably Tobias at the moment. We need to improve and Cairns is not the complete answer. Is the captaincy affecting Zack, perhaps offer it to Richard, if he wants it?
