The trouble is, these days, they're not promoters, they're badge makers and scrap metal merchants etc. that have bought a speedway club. I'm not sure there are any promoters left in the game.

I took those during one of the endless grading breaks when the tractor took an age to move a hand full of shale around the track. Track was poor, crowd was poor and those league sponsor advertising boards just laying flat on the ground.

Can I interest anybody in a league sponsorship package? This is what you get for your money. Things seem to have been a bit slap dash at Leicester recently, I thought those days were behind us.

Heat 8 first race with no dust... spitting with rain now 😂

7 races in 80 minutes... it's a bit tortuous this. Just announced we're now waiting for the water to soak in! That's a new one

I thought Kemp locked up right in front of him... from what I saw through the dust.

After 10 mins of watering after heat 4, the track is now just about in the condition it should have been for heat 1. Of course the inside line has not been touched, that's where everybody is riding and the dust is still billowing up from the back wheels.

Track's a disgrace... again! Could be dusted off... again!

It could and should have been so much better than it was though, unfortunately the PL was just a continuation of their CL years.
