  1. I know he doesn't... but your talisman let your club down badly and not just on that night
  2. The damage has already been done, rain forecast for tomorrow and Saturday, track curator on sick leave... just going to have to leave it to November, common sense should prevail
  3. Can't he just get married on the centre green... like the couple did at Edinburgh a few years back (if my memory servers me) I think Shovvy's volunteering isn't he?
  4. So blade ALL of the dirt off of a 300 metre track and relay it... in the rain? Get real. Also if the Cooks do disappear off to Aussie, Poole should only be allowed NL riders to replace them.
  5. Rained a lot again through the night... will be surprised if the track is OK by Saturday, going by the looks of it on Tuesday. Also more on the way... you know you love a weather forecast, we all do
  6. Almost as ridiculous as a team manager only managing his team for southern matches and going on a golfing holiday during play off season
  7. Delicately poised... the result of this tie may very well depend on the condition of the track whenever the 2nd leg is held
  8. Joe Thompson been very impressive tonight... Why do Poole have a Rat as a club mascot?
  9. If Zach had gone down there I'm pretty sure Connor Mountain would have been excluded
  10. Do races ever get rerun these days if they are into the 3rd lap? Instead of the no tacticals in the final rule they should run ALL races over 4 laps
  11. Please tell me you're joking! Oh Christ! You're not joking, just seen him on parade
  12. Manager and Captain missing for the final... it's like when Darcy Ward got into a fight on the eve of the final a few years back... it's gonna be tough
  13. Oh no! I'm not surprised, it's stressful enough being a Speedway fan, let alone trying to get these meetings on! Hope the lads can "do it for Stewart" and obviously hope the special one makes a speedy recovery
  14. He's got 2 "assistants" that do the graft for him though hasn't he?
  15. Good news it's 18 degrees in Leicester with warm sunshine and a strong drying wind, today's weather just may save the weekend's meeting as long as the rain that is predicted over the next 3 days isn't too heavy
  16. We had a heavy shower yesterday afternoon and even the footpath outside my house (in the shade) hasn't completely dried out! That's why nobody outside our country runs important Speedway matches at this time of year, there's just not enough hours of daylight for conditions to dry out before the next dollop of rain arrives
  17. It has rained... a LOT! And it doesn't really dry up that quickly at this time of year
