  1. He's been much more on it tonight, mixing it again in the first turn. Hopefully he's back on course
  2. Okay, the refs having a shocker now, that was clearly all 4 back with Bowtell
  3. Jesus Christ! The ref stops the race because of a steel shoe on the track... yet there's a huge hole on the apex of the top bend and everybody's okay about it!
  4. All eyes on Ashton tonight... scored 6+1 last time at Plymouth, an Audi the time before that. Let's hope for a big score, the kid needs to snap out of his current form.
  5. Teams Plymouth Gladiators: Nicolai Klindt, Joe Thompson, Alfie Bowtell, Mitchell Cluff, Ben Barker, Zaine Kennedy (guest), Ben Trigger. Team Manager: Garry May Glasgow Tigers: Chris Harris, Ashton Boughen, Dan Thompson, Leon Flint, Drew Kemp (G), Freddy Hodder , Max Perry. Team Manager: Cami Brown
  6. Meanwhile... taken from the Workington website: " "
  7. As a travelling fan for my club, also, I feel your pain. I can't help but feel that those fans are entitled to some kind of explanation... other than "setup". I've been at matches before where the management of a team, home or away, have come on the pa to apologise for their poor performance. And while I can understand not singling out a particular rider, somebody should have asked and answered what was going on. It's not like this performance came from a young kid still trying to work his way out in the game. In fact Vinnie Foord was on BSN explaining that he had dirt in his fuel tank in the race that he retired from... nothing from BπŸ’©TCH.
  8. As good as BSN is, and it is excellent, their captions have been all over the place this season πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«
  9. Those Comets fans standing on the first bend will be along shortly to defend BπŸ’©tchelor πŸ˜‰
  10. Yep... I've seen dogs there this year
  11. Listening to the commentary on tonight's Scunny Worky match and one of them mentioned that some of the new starting gate guards, which are compulsory for all speedway meetings with fixed starting gates, have been provided to British tracks by the Benevolent Fund, 13 apparently including one to the chairman of BSPL! Is this a valid use of SRB Funds? The commentator said it's preventative... but where do you draw the line? Will the SRBF be contributing to clubs air fences? Rider safety equipment? Track preparation equipment? And before you all come on here spitting feathers, this is a question for discussion and not an opinion. "The Fund can assist in many ways for example necessary home adaptations to allow wheel-chair access etc., Medical Equipment, Specialist Care, Financial Support and the General Welfare and Wellbeing of those who have suffered life changing injuries, as deemed fit and proper in deserving cases."
  12. Captain Batchtastic putting in a real Captain's performance πŸ’©
  13. Is Jake Allen's red helmet more white than red? Certainly when viewed from behind!
  14. I've never seen anybody make tossing a coin look so difficult πŸ˜‚
  15. If you've been effected by anything you've seen counselling is available by calling BSP Ltd!
  16. Poole High Tide: 23/04/25: 19:47 07/05/25: 19:46 ... so not that 🌊
  17. Ouch... doesn't sound like he'll be back anytime soon.
  18. Leicester Lions And Leicester Lions B Team... Berwick πŸ˜‚
  19. I remember a Bank Holiday Monday morning at Cradley and Coventry were that far ahead after the opening heats an announcement was made over the pa... the tactical substitutes for the next three heats are... At least that's the way I remember it lol. They were the days where team managers could be a lot more tactical and strategic compared to modern day Speedway.
  20. Any news on Gilkes? Just read elsewhere that the concern was his kneecap and not his arm (which he's badly broken previously of course)
  21. It's a shame Wolverhampton closed as I believe the burgers they sold aided weight loss... quite explosively πŸ’₯πŸ’©
  22. Yes, you're right, the question of is it worth it is probably a question a rider always asks himself when in close combat... I've never actually heard it said in commentary before though related to race format, so it's now an extra factor to not take a chance. Yes, Zmarzlik could and indeed did make it off the graveyard gate 3 twice. That was my point in this really that generally the "contenders" tend to make it off any gate when it's needed, I probably didn't articulate it that well though. And I'm sorry to say that I am one of those that is finding the GP series rather boring at the moment. There's nothing more I like better than watching a sportsman at the top of his game and Zmarzlik is certainly, head and shoulders, the best rider currently riding in the SGP series... but is he the best in the world is a question that's not really being answered... for me, just like when Tai won his championships with Emil not riding SGP.
