  1. Unfortunately tonight's return is off already! I wonder who made that call.
  2. Like at the SoN last year you mean? 🤔
  3. Wait... what? My Polish ain't great but surely they can't leave it like this 🤔
  4. How soon the saviour of King's Lynn is forgotten, the sun shone out of his backside last season and now he doesn't even get a mention... Woj
  5. WTF is going on at Poznan with the starting gate? Their Filip Morriski doesn't look too impressed, it's like watching something from Scunthorpe!
  6. And what better track than Leicester... that sorts the men out from the throttle jockey boys 😁
  7. Erm... his dad bought the club. And why do foreign riders come over to ride in the UK? It's not to pin the throttle around the NSS, it's certainly not for the money, it's to ride the Ippo's, Birmingham's, King's Lynn's, Leicester's etc. To make them better technical riders.
  8. You may call it negativity, I call it realism. Who owns the land? You can't just go around opening Speedway tracks on other people's land without their say so. The Local Plan is just being ignored at Peterborough, it clearly states a new facility should be provided if the existing one is demolished, there is no sign of this happening. The Local Plan is only a guide and doesn't seem that it is legally enforceable. At Brandon, nothing has changed.
  9. Now I don't want to be a negative Nancy and nothing would please me more than the return of Speedway to Brandon but unless the campaign are privy to some information that's not being released I'm not quite sure what this latest outburst of unbridled optimism is all about? If they're pinning their hopes on the addition of that paragraph in the Local Plan then I wouldn't get too excited about it as the shenanigans at Peterborough prove that the Local Plan isn't worth the paper it's written on! As somebody else has commented unless there's a compulsory purchase order made on the stadium BE still hold all the cards as they can just sit on their plans (whatever they are) and wait for the council to change at some point in the future. I'm not sure we're any further on than we were this time last year, correct me if I'm wrong. Still... get your emails in folks it certainly can't hurt.
  10. BetGoodwin Oxford Spires: Rohan Tungate, Erik Riss, Charles Wright (C), Peter Kildemand, Tom Brennan (G), Francis Gusts, Luke Killeen (RS). Watling JCB Leicester Lions: Max Fricke (C), Luke Becker, Ryan Douglas, Kyle Howarth, Sam Masters, Drew Kemp, Sam Hagon (RS). Oxford still have Hagon for Leicester in their bang up to the minute website! I have a dilemma with this one, the weather looks well dodge, there's no Magic and Oxford expect me to pay £2 extra to buy a ticket on the day... it's not really enticing me to make the trip tbh.
  11. I did say some... and Sam Hagon is certainly no Emil Sayfutidinov (yet). It's essential to be making starts at both of these tracks and Sam just wasn't with the others out of the starts... even when he occasionally was, he was soon passed.
  12. The sport needs his dad ('s sponsorship )
  13. Amidst all the gushing about my trip to Scunny yesterday I almost forgot to mention what a complete shambles the presentation was... first of all there was a new centre green announcer who was given the big introduction by Rob Godfrey of "I'm sure he'll make some mistakes so bear with him", just the boost I'm sure he was looking for! Then we were treated to said Presenter being inaudible throughout the whole meeting with his mic continually cutting out. And the TV Tunes of the 80's race build up music often being played during racing, in fact the music during the whole meeting was being played at such a distotedly high volume that it probably blew the windows out of houses several miles away!
  14. Don't think so, I could be wrong though, one of your Poole lot will know 😁
  15. He won't be taking his dads money then? We can all see he's no ordinary kid, his dad has bought a club, presumably with a view to him riding for it only for him to come out with that crap! He's probably on top notch gear and he's also got rent-a-Greg coaching him... that's hardly doing it on your own.
  16. I also think Leicester is quite a peculiar track and takes quite some mastering even from some of the more experienced riders, so bringing in these riders with little to no experience of it is not helping. To have a Cubs/Fox's team and not be developing through that is a big mistake, the club seems to have alienated the 2 best riders from that system in the Thompsen's and Cairns inexplicably wants to plough his furrow elsewhere. The club made a big thing about the signings of Mountain & Perry, they don't even seemingly come into the equation. Mr Dickson seems to like to wear his ruthlessness as a badge of honour and has mentioned that he's not afraid to make a change a number of times in the media... how about just getting it right from the start? 🤔
  17. I agree with point 2... but not point 1, based on last years performances alone he should not have been back. Mr Dickson seems to have a merry go round of the same riders, it'll probably be only a matter of time before Kemp is dropped (for the umpteenth time) and another one is the old faces will be in, Batch any one?
  18. The Berwick side of the pits is going to be a real barrel of laughs with Stewart Dickson, Craig Cook and Sam Hagon in it... throw in Drew Kemp when he gets his inevitable binning later in the season and they're going to need another team building day on the go karts 😉😂
  19. Another lamb to the slaughter. So that's 2 changes already, neither of whom should have been in the starting line up.
