  1. Did you see the white line though? It looked as though it had been painted during an earthquake!
  2. What's Neil's share in the promotion? Does he have a share or is he an employee or a volunteer?
  3. You're obviously drawn to cheats RIP deadly
  4. Don't think the poster mentioned British Speedway
  5. As I've hinted at elsewhere in this thread there are quite clearly agendas in today's mainstream media and unless you play to that agenda you're very unlikely to get any regular coverage unless you make a major achievement (Tai Woffinden). If you take a look at attendance figures for women's football you'll see they're remarkably similar to that of Speedway (or what I'd guess speedway's to be), yet speedway doesn't get a look in. The best thing Speedway can do to get some consistent mainstream media coverage is to get a decent pool of female riders competing throughout all 3 leagues
  6. Good team, just before my time... Ippo98 had the world's 1, 3 and 5
  7. And the current first thinks there is nothing wrong with the product! That used to be the line trotted out 10 to 15 years ago, since then crowd figures now prove otherwise
  8. As someone with no medical background and have never fallen off of a motorbike... It just didn't stack up as concussion had never been mentioned
  9. I don't know that concussion has been mentioned by anyone until now... If it was concussion, fair enough... The only thing reported was head injury
  10. Thanks for the info... This post deserves its own thread! Don't forget the hose pipe! Delusional I know head injuries are a funny thing, but I was thinking exactly the same, after all that had gone on previously, it smelled a bit fishy
  11. Much as I dislike the modern day Poole setup, I was genuinely thinking if this was the poorest team to win the top League in the UK... I think the strongest was possibly Ipswich 1998 or maybe Cradley 1983... But I have no idea of the strengths of teams from yesteryear when a lot of teams could have been made up of "amateurs" perhaps the more mature fans on here will know
  12. I think you've hit the nail on the head here, like him or loathe the cheat, you can't deny that Fraud is a shrewd business man and he can see the writing on the wall... Peterborough, Redcar, Plymouth, Coventry all in trouble, Poole up for sale, Rye House/Lakeside closing mid season, it's only a matter of time until the current speedway setup in this country collapses, unfortunately for Fraud most of the value has disappeared out of his club, mainly down to his win at all costs approach... You reap what you sew
  13. If Chapman thinks that what was served up last night and every time I've been to KL over the last 10 years or so is fine he really shouldn't be running the sport. KL used to be one of the very best places to watch exciting speedway and I'd regularly travel over from Leicester to watch it, that was back in the days of Henka & Loram, Richard Knight... Barum Trophy, Pride of the East (which has a whole different meaning these days ) I really don't know what's happened to the place, as the viewing facilities have got better the standard of racing is p poor... And to bring it back to Peterborough, I don't think it's been much better at the Showground this season, whenever I've been able to attend, usually on a Sunday afternoon, the track has been slick and dusty with little passing or close racing.
  14. Everybody knows who won it... Question is are they the poorest team ever to do so?
  15. There's not been a worse team since I've been watching Speedway, don't know about pre 77
