  1. Just caught up with this... Richard Lawson appearing in heat 1 with a dirty bike and race suit, not really what you expect from a professional Premiership Speedway rider. Ben Cook has had a shocking start to the season. Boughen still looks to be backing off in the first turns, not as blatant as the end of last season but still noticeable he doesn't like to mix it. I'll never understand the mentality of some Speedway riders. Kvech in the same heat surely saw Bomber blasting around the outside to make a pass but still refused to ride any wider than mid track. Great bit of team riding from Jack Holder to shepherd Rowe home for a 5-1. When the riders do their obligatory arm fold in the captions, unless the team sponsors logo is situated on the top of their chest it gets hidden, I noticed this during the CLPC & CLRC, not great for main team sponsorship exposure. Some good track action despite the scoreline.
  2. I've seen some crap at the NSS over the years... if the track is heavy because of rain (in Manchester I know!) the racing is dreadful. I've also been to a lot of daytime meetings and some of those are nothing to write home about. It generally is always a spectacle though mostly because of how close you are to the track, the speed and noise of the place.
  3. Is tomorrow the most anticipated day in Berwick Speedway's history?
  4. I'm genuinely sad for you if you thought heat 15 was the only genuine race of the night... I think the rest of us enjoyed it a lot more. Riders don't always have to change places for it to be a good race, you obviously missed the other passes... your mind must still have been in the King's Lynn car park ๐Ÿš˜๐Ÿš˜๐Ÿš˜๐Ÿš˜๐Ÿš˜๐Ÿš˜๐Ÿš˜๐Ÿš˜๐Ÿš˜๐Ÿš˜๐Ÿš˜๐Ÿš˜๐Ÿš˜๐Ÿš˜
  5. Yet Birmingham "elected" to bring in Freddie Lindgren at the same time ๐Ÿค” ... and King's Lynn, Kvech ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿค”
  6. Not so sure about that, Jason Doyle's season ended at the start of June and Ippo elected not to replace him meaning that when Sayfutdinov got injured they left themselves well short when they met the mighty Lions some 3 months later.
  7. A "friend" of mine may or may not have got it for ยฃ50.
  8. Jaimon "I'll only bring my best kit over from Poland once their season is finished after being bang average for Belle Vue all year" Lidsey? Becker had to be there to cash in on that "luck" as you put it... he was and he did.
  9. Thank you for tearing yourself away from watching the GP ticket sales drip through on the Belle Vue website, I'm looking forward to this Monday's irregular update ๐Ÿคช What's not in question is Belle Vue's ability to win away from home, you don't really get to make the play offs without that ability and with the current inequality in the league picking up away victories at the leagues whipping boys is more or less a given for the teams that finish top 4. What @Rob B was questioning was the quality of the racing/track at BP. Yes the track wasn't up to muster last night but still produced some decent racing for those that had the ability and put the effort in. If you look at the race comments on updates you'll see that there was some good stuff to be seen (through the dust). The fact is that apart from Kurtz and Bewley your riders just aren't very entertaining to watch away from the NSS where they can just pin the throttle.
  10. If only Oxford could sign someone๐Ÿค”someone like... ๐Ÿค”, ooh I don't know let me think ๐Ÿค”, erm Grigory Laguta! No, not him, the other one... what's his name ๐Ÿค”
  11. at ยฃ19 a pop... they're not really flying in on private jets
  12. Are we sure they're not the same person? ๐Ÿ˜‚ Who was the ref in the POF last year?
  13. Who was the ref, Babs? Dougy dropped a chain as well didn't he?
  14. You can't keep blaming tracks for your teams generally abysmal record away from the NSS, hope you get out of the car park quicker than you did at King's Lynn ๐Ÿ˜‚ and think of all the cars you'll be passing on the way home with all that dirt on the M1 ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป
  15. Having said that heat 15 was a cracker ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
  16. Track prep was poor again tonight, far too dry, not enough moisture in the track. With a track like ours it needs to be prepared perfectly as it can't rely on it's shape alone.
  17. I thought I read it on here somewhere, I could very easily have been mistaken though, it has been known to happen. I may have been getting him confused with Paco, who withdrew from the pairs, it could have been him that was riding abroad on the Sunday.
  18. Yes, that old chestnut, he did ride in Poland didn't he? I thought I read it on here somewhere. Let the inconsistencies begin ๐ŸŽฒ๐ŸŽฐ
  19. Eurosport used to have breaks in coverage, especially for events like the French Open Tennis and Olympics.
