I agree less tracks will reduce the attendence but there are plenty of supporters that don't regularly attend a british club. 43,640 attendened in 2011 and there were 28 clubs..... 1559 per club. There are 20 clubs now (including IOW) so if there was exactly the same ratio of people per club there would an attendence of 31,171. However there are significant other factor at play.

Kolodziej has been in the top 15 of the polish averages for years, but he often goes missing on the foreign tracks. Cierniak is a hell of a rider but his average maybe slightly inflated due to riding in the reserves race. Some of the old pros like Doyle and Lindgren will raise there game a little for the gps.

I expect the Russian will be allowed to ride under a neutral flag given wildcards. The same line up but change Wozniak, Kvech, Emil and Artum for Dudek, Maciej, Thomsen and Kim

Did the ref get to watch any replays? Dave Rowe is an excellent commentator but PPV production is poor.

British speedway has a long history of iffy draws.

Surely 3 friday night clubs won't be in the the same group, it will take things well into October.

If thats the case with Doyle and Lambet in the line up there is quite a high chance that 4th place could qualify for the gps.

If a GP rider qualifies through this but then finishes in the top 6 in the GPs will fourth place rider in this qualify?

He was lucky he was talking to a committed set of riders who understand you can't always have perfect conditions. When the conditions are like that it only takes a couple of moaners to cancel a meeting and cause damage to the sport. Would Artum Laguta and Troy Bateloer been quite so understanding...... I think not.
