  1. Can you please upload the video. I can't see how it would make a difference to the SCB enquiry.
  2. Ipswitch website says, 'The referee agreed with us that it was an accident but Rohan was fined as a result.' What is Rohan been fined for? It was either an accident or it was done on purpose.
  3. “The referee said he didn’t see it. The clerk of the course, who wasn’t our normal clerk of the course, also said he didn’t see it. http://scunthorpescorpions.co/?p=3833
  4. Am I correct in saying Josh Auty was in the refs box from heat 11 onwards, if so its not good refereeing practise to have one of the team captains in the refs box.
  5. Are the SCB likely to do anything? Ipswitch must be confident thats they end of the matter or they wouldn't of put Tungate in heat 15, if his points are deducted from his last 2 rides it will be a draw.
  6. From my view Auty didn't knock Tungate off there was minimal contact if any at all. There is serious lack of consistency when it comes to refs punishments. The ref has acknowledge Tungate deliberately knocked Auty off after the race but has deemed a £200 pound fine adequate punishment.
  7. I am not sure it was affecting crowds, I think afternoon meetings make it hard to get the water in the track and left us with very little home track advantage. The racing is generally better on a Friday but the crowds are generally better at the weekend. A compromise of early Sunday evening might work.
  8. I think the racing gets better because the dirt line moves a bit wider giving the riders a few more options. The outside line NKI took in the final would never of worked earlier on in the meeting. I am not sure its a good idea to drag so to much dirt back to inside at every grading.
  9. Seems there have been a lot of injuries this year, some will say there are always lots of injuries in speedway and its not getting worse. If people could post a list of injuries sustained by their team and I will compile a list of injuries to riders who ride in the British league, that way in future we will have something to compare it to. Scunthorpe Josh Auty: Broken hand (missed 10) Ryan Douglas: Fractured vertebrae (missed 6) Coventry Bees Stuart Robson: Concussion, Arm & Leg injuries (missed 6) James Sarjeant: Shoulder injury, badly bruised ribs, arm injury (missed 6) Hans Andersen: Broke his finger Jason Garrity: Knee injury Coventry Strom Luke Crang: Shoulder blade injury (still out injured) Connor Dwyer: knee injury (still out injured) Berwick Bandits Ben Barker: Back injuries (out for season) Claus Vissing: knee ligaments (still out) Hynek Stichaur: Broken ankle (still out) Matic Voldrih: Broken leg (out for season)
  10. I am not sure how long it takes to prepare a track for premier league racing but could amateur meetings and open trainings take place earlier in the day. It might be more efficient to have everything on one day with track staff and medical cover.
  11. With afternoon meetings always quite well supported at Scunny why not switch the race day back to Sunday but run a bit latter at say 6pm that way track prep would be better and it might be better for those who travel along way and for kids that can't stay up late.
  12. Fairly dull and disappointing up and till heat 13 and then fantastic stuff...... gloom lifted indeed. Crowd seemed up a bit, hopefully more will tempted back. What was the guy on the centre green filming for, did rob say BBC?
  13. I would hope if it came to it Rob would sell the club, but you never know. Losing the current promotion really could be a big loss, just look at the, the track prep, the club website, the excellent value café, the entertaining team of racers and the centre green announcer.
  14. I get your point that the plea for more supports would be better in the wider press but you said it was a 'waste of time' putting a statement on the club website.
  15. Horsens has a capacity of 12,500, Vojens has a capacity of 22,000. Temporary tracks don't take much rain whereas vojens has covers(not always effective).
  16. Rob always says it how it is and keeps the fans informed about what's going on. Would you rather him say nothing and then shut up shop on the 31st of August.
  17. Maybe Scunthorpe could put on a fund raising meeting at the end of the year invite all the past Scunthorpe riders. Surely Woffinden would find time to help Scunny through this difficult season.
  18. I think the standard of Premier league is higher than when Scunthorpe first moved up to the PL in 2008....... 2008 team Andy Moore Carl Wilkinson Magnus karlsson Vicktor Bergstrom Richard Hall Byron Bekker Benji Compton This team finished 10th out of 16. I think crowds have dropped to some extent due to the poor results and maybe due to the working class people of Scunthorpe having less spare cash to spend on speedway. From Scunthorpe's point of view a shake up of the leagues in 2016 might be good, with some of the bigger PL clubs going EL and some of the bigger NL teams joining the PL.
  19. Can I ask why you attended, you must have seen previous GPs at Cardiff on the tv. The racing was on a par with previous years.
  20. I guess there might be a few less poles with Hampel out and KK not going well and the Warsaw fiasco. With Woffinden strong favourite there will probably be more British support though.
  21. I agree but not sure Auty is the best example, he is only due to miss 7 meetings.
  22. I really hope you do keep speedway going, ideally at premier league level but if cash is tight would you consider dropping Scunthorpe back down to the national league in 2016?
  23. I believe Scunthorpe operate on quite a tight budget, on paper the team looked mediocre but unfortunately injuries have wrecked our season. The poor Scunthorpe side still managed to beat Workington by 16 at the EWR.
  24. I am not sure the asset system complies with free trade rules. Scunthorpe had no problem with David signing for Glasgow but they were not happy with his first meeting back being against Scunthorpe. They could have easily delayed the deal until after the meeting but instead did Glasgow a favour with the assumption that the favour would be repaid.
