  1. It happened at Belle Vue in 1989. Couldn't see the racing for the clouds of dust. Then it was called off.
  2. Ipswich have done some strange things this season with team building... using the full amount of points available, what's that all about? Signing British riders in the engine room, when everyone knows you are supposed to use Australian's? Tainted victory that will be 🤣
  3. Virgin media. They wanted £17.99 to add it so i said I wasn’t interested in any other sport and wanted to cancel them and they have me TNT for a £1 a month until April 26
  4. Haven’t time to read all through the pages but if I have TNT I can see league matches and the GP?
  5. Laguta averaged 7.93 in the UK in 2023. Hardly the form of a supposed "world champion" is it. That's when he could be bothered turning up.
  6. Think we will line up Kurtz Bewley Lidsey Blodorn Ellis Bailey +1
  7. 1. Sheffield 2. Belle Vue 3. Ipswich 4. Peterborough 5. Leicester 6. Wolves 7. Kings Lynn
  8. Belle Vue (all 3) Bradford Cradley Sheffield Wolves Coventry Leicester Stoke Buxton Swindon Oxford Peterborough Kings Lynn Cardiff Trelawny Exeter Lakeside Rye House Ipswich
  9. It was announced at the track that this years winner (or runner up in this case) would not be at Cardiff next year.
  10. On the subject of Aces leadership it was really really hard not to like this guy even though probably wanted to lol. Said what he thought, to everyone. I remember winning 2 free tickets after answering questions about the aces. I was 19 and went to the office to claim my prize and JP looked at me with my stupid long hair at the time and said how the f…… did you know the answers to those questions???? I said because John I f…….. know my club. He laughed his head off and said good fella and gave me the tickets
  11. Been on the forum for many years (mostly reading) but not seen much about this guy. He was in charge of the Aces in my early years (and I believe chairman of whatever was the governing body in the 80s for a time). Many people blame him for the loss of Hyde Road, I did at the time but I was only 11. But sadly Hyde Road was a relic of the past and would have become a H&S nightmare that would have gone anyway within a few years. He threw money at the Aces in the 80s (not always in the right direction but his intentions were good). I’d like to hear other peoples opinions
