For the club to use r/r (or z/z) in Poland didn't a rider have to say they are unavailable for 2 weeks? I thought that had been posted when Nicki wasn't riding for Rzeszow but they couldn't use r/r. If this is the case then Emil wouldn't be able to ride as it would be inside the two weeks.

This was only really a rehash of what was said a few weeks earlier after Togliatti. All the muck slinging seems to be coming from One Sport rather than BSI (at least out in the open) so not so sure on the unilateral point and the report is coming through one of the sponsors. It seems odd that not very much is being promoted so far for the Gorican meeting as surely this would be better. The issue if wild cards is just in SGP. The Sec obviously was based on marketing ie 1 Pole, 1 Dane, 1 Russian, 1 Swede then 1 Brit. Riders in motogp & drivers in F1 etc all not always in on talent but the money they bring (null)

Rugby has tighten up on the rules regarding the ability to play for a given country. There were cases many years ago where people played for one country and then played for another but you can't do this anymore. There were cases of players representing New Zealand and England, Argentina and Australia, and a lot of Samoans representing New Zealand. The rules seem to take in to account the players representing a country at junior level as was highlight by the case of Steve Shindler who was blocked from being in the Scotland squad after representing Wales as a junior. The rules only stop a person representing the country if they have already played for another country. It doesn't stop people from one country representing another on grounds of residency or family ties. This can be seen in the number of Aussies, Kiwis, South Africans, Tongans & Samoans representing all the home unions in the last few years.

I think that both side should work together for the good of the sport. However I do find it funny that these stories only come around just before and just after the SEC meetings and are always put in the perspective of the poor Polish company being put upon. The stories seem to be trying to drum up publicity for the events and are coming through one of the event sponsors in Sportowe Fakty. There is no reason why both events can't exist and the additional tv coverage is good for the sport.
