Track wasn't best but wasn't worst Cardiff track. Also this happens on permanent tracks also. Torun in 2010 had a rut on bends 3&4 causing crashes for Holder & Mroczka. Hancock's bike clipped Bjerre in the head at GP in Krsko again caused by rut (null) -

GP lasts three hours. If the tape touching was allowed it would be much longer and very boring Athletics and swimming have a similar rule with false starts being punished with exclusion so not just speedway -

Parken Out, Vojens Back?
severnsider replied to iris123's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
As I understand it Parken is used by FC Copenhagen so really the mid summer is the only available time. With the restricted date for Cardiff last year and then the SWC it would have left very few options -

Parken Out, Vojens Back?

It did the following year when the meeting was called out as the track was wet in an indoor stadium . The meeting was then rearranged a week later in Bydgoszcz -

Park & rides generally have plenty of places & you don't need to wait too long for buses. They run from early in the morning right through the day so time not an issue. They drop you off a little way from the stadium however so that may be a problem. (null) -
Think a lot of the 2 reports over the weekend are propaganda. It also seems odd that so much is being made of Scott not riding as one rider out of 48 in qualifying rounds hardly seems worth creating a fuss over. Also it was making out that all hassle is coming from BSI/BSPA but ignoring the problems with rider release that Tarnow especially have provoked over the last few years and also this year. It seems slightly odd to me that the website for the new championship is still not up and running especially now the first event has taken place. However I would have thought having GB riders compete in more international competition would be a good think

The Greg video was interesting. It was the same one that the Speedwaygp web site had a link too earlier in the week. The website also then had a similar video on Chris Holder Think both videos were done by Monster Energy (null) -

Dislike For The Gps?
severnsider replied to Eglese 19's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Personally a big fan of the gps. As well as the racing it has given me the opportunity to visit a lot of places I wouldn't have otherwise so broadening my knowledge. Also been lucky to live in a time when travelling to Eastern Europe is much easier than in the past (null) -
Even though Sochi is going to have the Winter Olympics skiing had only recently had any events in Russia (think 1st was in early 2012 at the Olympic venue) but last Tuesday there was a slalom ski event in the exhibition park by the space museum. Therefore it seems that things are slowly moving in the Russian landscape (null)

There has been some comment from Janusz Kolodziej & Jarek Hampel about some prototype silencer which they have tested in workshop & reckon doesn't cause some of the problems with the current silencer. Anyone know any details & will this change the need for shield? (null)

It is around a couple of miles between the two stadiums so not that bad if you wanted to walk. Last year we walked to the stadium from our hotel in the centre of Auckland as it was a lovely day. This is a much further distance then the trip between the two stadiums. Took a bit over an hour and was nice to see different views of the city and see the suburbs as the buildings are different to home. The lake just behind the speedway stadium at Western Springs is very pretty and the Zoo is just behind that which was also interesting
