  1. I got told you were a fan of slots . I still have a couple of cucaracha chassis' and mabuchi blacks up the attic , when My lad was younger I made him a slot track 16x 8 . only 2 lanes routed out of 15mm thick MDF , I used copper ribbon for the pickup rails . would love to have a crack on a proper slot track .let me know when you have finished it .I'll see if I can dig out a decent car
  2. Suggested by who, Not OAP's that's for sure If I wasn't so busy in other areas of speedway ,I would be more likely to watch the Bees at Leicester @£10 than I would Brandon @ £18
  3. OK we get it ,you have been there as well .
  4. Lets hope this is the Final solution , best of luck with it creating a decent racetrack for 2 elite teams is not going to be easy for sure
  5. If the money in NL gets any less ,we will be paying them to ride ..LOL
  6. I actually posted it as a bit of fun for TMW , not to give all and sundry a chance to blow their own trumpet and apply for martyr status
  7. I actually saw it all marked out with pegs on the clean slate . it would have been a smaller version of the new national stadium track ,
  8. oh of course they would few few bits of scaffold and a canvas cover are an Immovable object , thats that then , best just leave it as is clip a bit more off the inside , and everybody can then put up with another 5 years of your complaining , eventually the temporary stands will collapse and the the trtack alterations can take place without anything having to be moved ,yayyy 2022 is gonna be a year to remember a decent racetrack and robert 72 stops whining Bring it on
  9. no not really , theres quite a lot of space at the back there , we are actually only talking a few feet anyway, and it's not completely impossible to put the higher edge of the stands above the shop and have a covered walkway underneath .
  10. whenever it arrives ,there will be no Castleford Kings MDL and no Castleford Casltes NJL , thank you BSPA/SCB , cant see any furhter than the end of your pathetic noses
  11. the brick refs box stands back further than the stands , any way it was put up in a day by shane parker so it would only take 2 days to move that , I'll get himback to do it if you like . track shop is on the outer perimiter so it don't need moving
  12. the stands on the start finish straight ,are only Temporary .they have probably sunk in a little since temporary became 6 years ,but a few volunterrs could most likely lift them up and push them back , then you could take the back straight in and front straight out ,
  13. Don't see where there is any link in anything between the BSPA funding Gerhards , and the people who do nothing except take money out of speedway Only you knows that , but if it was to become a question of finance rather than red tape and protecting your nice little earner from outside forces , that ball should fall entirely with the media rights side of speedway , not the body who's job is to run the actual sport
  14. nope i was just suggesting that it may not be in horton and sandhu's power to give dates and times for a return , in fact trying to put a time frame on it /only leads to more speculation and rumour when things dont happen to estimated timeframes so better to say nothing than get slated because you tried to give people some bit of tentative info and it didn't happen somebody waved some money in front of his nose, and all that we are safe for the time being and I@m going to find the bees a new home was just a red herring to take supporters eye off the ball and it worked just fine
  15. but as far as i can see , Gospeed are happy to live in the sixties provided they are getting paid , anything that is likely to affect their cut .however good it would be for the sport as a whole ,would be blocked by their greed . (the russells are not the sharpest tools) it's unlikely that they would see the benefit in their share of an increased turnover eventually ,and would seek to protect every last bean of their current earnings off the back of speedway. they sre currently the media rights holders to all of british speedway , can yoiu tell me a single thing they have done to increase public awareness or improve on crowd numbers .
  16. surely for all this to work ,speedway would need to remove the shackles put on itself by letting Gospeed get control of all the media . as you say speedway needs to move forward to the digital age ,but that is going to be almost impossible if every step is blighted by red tape and Gospeeds greed , until the actual sport shakes off some of the leeches that are bleeding it , Briggs. Gospeed ,and engine tuners ,I can only see the downward spiral continuing
  17. we don't want more from other disciplines thanks you , the Mx fraternity are vile, both the parents and the kids . speedway is for speedway people . selfish, posing, one-upmanship, and bragging about who has the most money is for MX types . speedway is already polluted with Mx types without encouraging more
  18. absolutely not , the kids are learning with the ultimate goal of being in a Team , MDL ,NJL , teaches them that , learns them teamwork , how to combine with others ultimately for the TEAM to win , what its like to take the pressure of performing well enough and being reliable having good enough equipment to retain a team place , how to cope with the organisation of yourself to be at the place and time of someone elses choosing , it also gives team managers an insight into whether they have what it takes to compete at higher levels , theres more than enough Tai Woffindens ( selfish greedy ungrateful posers ) already thank you ,without taking us back to ride when YOU feel like it ,and when You can choose the competition , proper leagues with proper races and everything else that goes with it is what's needed , not self glorifying amateur and practise sessions I think they are probably racists .
  19. he was a man short at kings lynn , and had a rider ready to go but the riders license had not come through from rugby , so they were going to buy him a day licenses for the interim , the Bspa/ SCB blocked the use of the rider . and that was the final straw for Steve , what was already a hard enough job being made even harder with pedantics from the powers that be . game over , another shot in speedways own foot by the people who should be doing all they can to help .. JCB , striking at Caterpillars heartland . get in there Horton and get Cat to fire back with a big cheque ..Lol
  20. what if ???? Horton and Sandhu Want to go back ,but Brandon estates are preventing them doing so , and so negotiations have to continue to get Brandon estates to allow them back In . so no news means no successful negotiation yet ,but hopeful of a positive outcome in the future
  21. Martin never left ,he was trying his best to run Long Eaton again this year , Cookie of course quit because of the arseholes at the Bspa
  22. theres loads of cockerneys , in Peterborough and Milton Keynes but very few where they originated from , went on a nostalgia trip with mrs speedi ,and her mother. to her mothers birthplace , bethnal green , Poplar , hackney , mile end , Poor old mum in law got proper upset when she saw what a rubbishhole it had turned into ,full of immigrants , we bogged off and did all the tourist stuff Buck house etc that she had seen a thousand times ,but at least it didn't upset her , she would never go back up until she died ,too painful , Just like mnost places of my youth are too painful to revisit because they are all full of Immis
  23. less likely to do it at Sheffield TBH , they have a strict curfew and a 7.45 start time , when we did MDL there ,almost every week it had to stop after 4 races and any incident in the main match cancelled altogether
  24. NKI is so far ahead they are virtually in a different league , by compariuson Holder is 3rd division
