a few elite riders ,well mechanics started coming out of the pits to warm the bikes up , the close proximitiy of the home and away sides of the pits means when the bikes are running they are blowing smoke and unburnt methanol at you and you are doing the same back , there.s nowhere for the fumes from 14 bikes to go , resulting in riders/ mechanics and hangers on choking and eyes streaming from the fumes , but as ever there is someone to complain about the noise which they did of course , so everyone including the MDl lads had to go inside unfortunately , out of the hands of anyone connected with the speedway but a necessary evil

bollocks , the thompsons get more than enough track time alongside the mdl ( I know I have seen it first hand at least 100 times unlike you ) , and from day one the bspa have been nothing but a thorn in the side of people who gave up their time voluntarily to run the league that has been doing exactly what has been needed for years , now the BSPA and their chosen guru are trying to get MDl to run the same as NJL 2 i25's 2, 500's , 1st off there are not enough 125 riders to go round second how the hell are 12 year olds going to cope with leaving school early and getting home after midnight on schooldays , where are these kids going to learn to race 500's when their time comes , oh I guess straight in to national league to make that a a bigger joke than it already is , you and the Bspa need to keep your blinkered noses out of the best thing to happen in speedway for decades ,and let somebody else continue the success story that has been the MDl so far , don't think before YOU type ,just don't type , in 50 years I have seen so much damage to our sport from people with their head in the clouds who always have to think they know better and speedway winds up worse off for it , CONK OUT , and stop trying to fix what is definitely not broken !!
-
when the Mdl was running , the thompson boys , had a ride before the meeting , another one immediately the main match finished and another in between each 2 heats of Mdl , thats a total of six rides a night , how much more bloody track time do they need , they are riding at Coventry on the same deal . so giving them exrta time is nothing ,more than a load of Bullshyt , the bspa /scb . promoters haven't got a chuffing clue , fawning over kids on 125s , and when they graduate to 250 and 500 where the hell are they going to learn to ride those, because there will be no Mdl to train them for the next step .. always the same old story , get something solid gold going , and the stupid bastards have to interfrere becuase some body knows better than what is proven and in front of their stupid faces and what happens to the standalone national league teams , just close them down I suppose and then change the name of the Mdl which is already up and running succesfully to something else .. of course the suggestion that its run before the meeting is something new and nobody has ever suggested it before ..durrrrhhhh
-
that's why it's succesful and properly organised then , run by someone who is in it for the love . not to get back in from the cold

Because nobody is interested in running the MDL , why would they be ? the promoters treat it as if it's something they trod in ,, and the bspa/scb look on it in much the same light , sadly the people who run speedway ,Promoters ,BSPA , SCB are a little bit thick , they look at the current National league and think to themselves that the riders in it all fell off the christmas tree . wont be long before these deadheads are complaining that there's no kids coming though and they are having to build teams with journeyman foreigners and pay them to fly in and out , stupid is as stupid does is the saying ,and what is being allowed to happen to the MDL is a classic example of stupidity in the highest.
-
as far as I'm concerned the Midland league was the best thing since sliced bread , the Thompson boys got plenty of rides In between the midland league races .sometimes more than the MDL lads themselves who have travelled some distance . odd is not the way I would describe this decision .M ore ... Typical, in a couple of years these same people will be whinging theres no riders coming through and they have had to look abroad and pay travel , shame the lads who have progressed from MDL: weren't contracted to MDL: ,then the organise could have with drew their services , No Max Clegg , no Nathan Greaves , no Lee Payne , etc see if the promoters think it had any value then
-
Not many stayed in the last couple of seasons ,because of the pissing about and crap interviews , after watching the elite league meeting on a cold night who wants to stay and listen to norrie allens rubbish ? the shame is for speedway ,when you look at the national league currently almost all the new blood has come via midland league , but sadly with promoters prefer to buy in riders from abroad and then moan they cant afford to run , the midland league was a major success but has been allowed to deteriorate because of the hands it's management fell into but it was the best thing that has happened to british speedway In years , where will the lads go to who were riding MDL ,nowhere , where will the new crop of riders come from ? nowhere , sad day for British speedway letting this little gem slip away .

before sandhu fell out with himself and then Horton

thin rods of lead coated wire , as you shook the tube the wires went up inside the spark plug and cleaned it rather like a sweeps brush cleans a chimney but they worked vertically , quite effective on sooted up plugs , but wouldn't do much in a modern engine because they are not that dirty running
-
not really , they just overcharge for everything because they can get away with it , bad management and laziness is the cause of a lot of it . shall i order some methanol at X price , nah just get some at the track it's only £3 more . Where would i get a spark plug for my speedway bike, shall i read the numbers on the side and order one the same off the internet , nah just ring Joe Hughes , he will have some and he will post it , save using your brain for 5 seconds and only an extra £30 , while people are too lazy and hypnotised into thinking everything on a speedway bike is specifically for that purpose , then suppliers will continue to rob them ,
-
there are many suitable alternatives for any application , and considering the lifetime of a spark plug why would anyone bother to fake them , it's not as if they are everyday purchases , and to make it worthwhile you would need to sell a huge amount ,which won't happen because the biggest users , dealer franchises , buy straight from the source , what we were actually debating is how much speedway suppliers mark up goods that are marketed as special to speedway . there is almost nothing that is actually speedway only ,except crap that has briggo stamped on it

all baked beans are exactly the same beans . Haricot all come from the same place , Canada , the only difference is the tomato sauce ,and of course the brand name which dictates the selling price like many things ,, are a pair of Levi jeans @£100 any better than Asda jeans @ £6 , I have both and I would say the Asda ones are better , but I always go out in Levi's (Dress jeans lol )
-
Aldi beans are fakes that's why they are cheap . since navy beans or haricot to use the correct medical term ,only come from one source in the world .... Canada .Aldi beans have got to be fakes , most likely Aldi are buying a tin of Heinz and cutting them with bleached peas to make the stretch to 4 tins worth , apparently they cut the tomato sauce with cheap pigs blood as well you only get what you pay for , I don't know how it works but selling stuff at a fair markup turns whatever it is into fake . and buying cheap fake beans will wind up damaging your ringpiece with toxic gas
-
we will just have to accept whatever track is there for our swansong , Sandhu has won ,and I now wish we had finished with a bang rather than go out like a damp squib , Leicester have been kind enough to allow an already drowned team a lifebelt , A kind gesture but not the way I wanted the bees to end ,like cuckoos in another teams nest
-
Get ours from the local chemical supplier around 80p a litre , but obviously the stuff from the speedway suppliers is better , must be it costs more than twice as much so because something is cheaper ,that automatically makes it a fake ?
-
they spend so much time in the gym and on the phone , then turn up with unreliable crappy bikes .Unless they are spoilt like a few and daddy employs somebody to do all the dirty work . you're better off out of it Dean , rather than spend too much time with spoilt and precocious 15 year olds who think because they wear dark glasses and a t shirt with no sleeves and a tail they are something special
-
The ones I posted a link to @ £16 were exactly the same plug as the ones joe hughes is selling for £39 . of course if you wish to be suspicious of them because of the price tag , that simply proves the point , You judge an items value by it's price tag , I will not pay an extra £23 just because a non speedway supplier is prepared to sell a product at a fair price so i have to assume it is in some way inferior , I wouldn't dream of buying any brand name goods from a speedway supplier because I know I would get over charged , Back In 1985 I bought a Motoplat Ignition system for a Jawa 898 for £11 . speedway suppliers were selling the exact same item for over £100 . I bought mine from Dartford karting , and since then anything non specific comes from suppliers outside speedway ,in the 80's Godden pistons direct over £100 , however from Omega who made them ,Less than £40 providing they thought it was for a Sierra Cosworth and not speedway

Oooh I'm wounded

I think Darcy Ward has had more than his fair share , time to look after our own . I see no reason why Ward should be better treated by British supporters than British riders in the same position , Time to let the Aussies do their bit for one of Their own

he also went on record saying he had no partner , but still had to buy the non existent partners 50% share off HMRC , to retain ownership of His share , this was when his friend and Non existent partner got put in prison for money laundering !!! says all you need to know about Sandhu . anyway all this posturing about helping to save the Bees load of cobblers Like the new stadium he was never intending to build , if he really wanted to see the Bees continue , why would he sell the stadium in the first place ,even if it was to himself ?
-
If they are sealed , then it's not possible to do your own servicing when necessary ? you would make a good partner for my sister-in -law , she judges the value of an item by it's price tag as well
-
thats correct ,and for many years I was a fan of the Grin , but then in this last year through his actions I realised that the grin is just a painted smile and he is a rather mercenary and unsavoury character would you rather we just gave up , and admitted defeat , perhaps Horton could sell off whats left of the assets , sue Hancock for his transfer fee back and walk away . becuase if a deal hadn't been agreed for this lifeline , we would be extinct now and looking to restart both the team and find somewhere to race . maybe a track share with leicester because that's the alternative to moving and trying to claw our way back in ,

Josh Auty is a bit injury prone as well
