Brummies v Plymouth NL Wed 25th July
ruckerroo replied to Brummies_Ste's topic in National League Speedway
its amazing when a side gets a monopoly at reserve in a match, it puts so much pressure on the opposing sides heat leaders to such an extent, well done the devils -
it shows the leagues down to the bare bones when a rider who had completely gone at the game is replacing one of the better riders in the division
-
Jeez, what a poor move
-
4 triers there for lester, win or lose
-
Your expecting a hell of a lot from a lad whose only just an nl heatleader, No1s in the nl isnt a given to get points in this league. Im glad kemps going to get a few meetings but if gets a couple points here and there it will be a gd achievement
-
Thats a horrific set of changes tbh
-
Starman wants a one team league, win at all costs, never a chance of reasoned debate, the like it or lump it scenario is why speedway is on the precipice it is at the moment.

ruckerroo replied to cityrebel's topic in National League Speedway
i gotta be fair, I think its barmy to cancel because of the footy, I think another poster has hit the nail on the head -
what a complete mess this sport is these days, one disaster to the next
-
rye would do perfectly well back on a Saturday night in another tier, if the start up money for the the top 3 is to be believed in 2018 theres no wonder they've gone peppermint

Eagles v Brummies 30th JUNE NL
ruckerroo replied to Brummies_Ste's topic in National League Speedway
Hard to get condition right, hot but windy evening. Brum gated v well but eastbourne made hardly any errors. The best race was ht15 when wood screamed past bacon, brennan then steamed up the inner going into lap4, bacon predictably binned it and the ref made the wrong decision. both sides have good and bad points in each side, eastie cant cover for powell away if hes out for long. Brum are just stuffed in the bottom end -
Eagles v Brummies 30th JUNE NL

with lots of one sided meetings in this league this meeting looks a cracker tbh, 3 good heat leaders on either side all good round the track, 2 young up n comers now in the top 5, and some reserves that tbh fall as often as they finish, a good meeting to go and watch .. -
Scorpions v Sheffield 29 June KOC 7.30
ruckerroo replied to ScunnyDan's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Paid 28 scunnys guests, 8 from sheffos guests,blimey -
The acid test for a side is when a reserve scoring massive points goes into the main body. I thought mildy might win at eastbourne last week but they were soundly beaten, brums bottom end looks as weak as any from saturday so be interesting too see what happens
-
Acid test for brum at arlington tomo night
-
40-50, flint will get a boatload as per
-
ryes inept management never thought about the racenight change, they cant have unless they did it too appease a few other promoters to get the bt deal, its left em completely in the khazi whatever
-
I USED to love going to rye on a few Saturday nights in the summer circa 2010, it was pleasant, the first 2 bends were nice for viewing and the crowds were fine for div 2 speedway. Bar the track improvements since, the rest of its been a complete disaster, the fixed race night has been the final nail in the coffin. The new outfit have payed way over the odds for riders that are all going downhill form wise which is a crime, its a loss leader if you've a gd team and crowds are flocking in

Belle Vue v Brummies Fri 22nd June
ruckerroo replied to Brummies_Ste's topic in National League Speedway
The acid test for these young lads mopping up at reserve is moving up into the side proper with less easy meat. Brennan and Jenkins have done v well, no reason why kemp and flint shouldn't follow -
Somerset v Poole Prem A. 20/6/18
ruckerroo replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Vissing is going to be the worst signing in the top flight since toby jo donned the skull n crossbones many moons ago. It defies belief how the rebs have slung wright out tbh -
I thought the dugards said they didn't want riders doubling up in 2018 ?
-
one good signing, one very moderate one
