great news --see you soon!!

Due to being so busy I am late putting out invites to ride in the 2nd half of the Boston meeting this coming Sunday (Aug 3rd) at Kings Lynn for the 250's. I have spoken to a few but need some definite confirmations so we can see what type of 2nd half we will run . Found out a while ago when Mr Pasty --sorry Pat Bint , who was kindly picking me up en-route , called to tell me it was off. If it is re-arranged for next Saturday I won't be able to make it as at Workington with the Fen Tigers. What a bummer!!

Well done to all the young lads involved. Best to ignore the comments of Jeff as he seems to be one on his own and not looking at the bigger picture. I spend a fair bit of time arranging second halves for the 250 lads and some of the under 15's and last night Graham Jones and I spent time at Wolverhampton discussing the future of 250 racing with Ila Teromaa , who is going to be highly involved in the worldwide development of the 250 racing. These boys are the future and will eventually develop into 500cc riders--and who knows , future World Champions and need every encouragment at the early stage of their careers.

Enjay will also have the British Speedway Track Directory (maps + directions to all tracks plus details of facilities, etc) at a reduced price of £2.50 on sale .

Does D in scorechart mean excluded (disqualified) ?

# ...and thank you Dale for the booking for the lads at Boston (K Lynn) on Sun Aug 3rd. The more laps and races they have the better they get.

Trevor Swales and Colin Horton have invited the 250 lads to Peterborough for the 2nd half next Thursday. Have already had acceptances off Tom Stokes, Rhys Naylor, Adam Portwood and Coner Dwyer. Would like at least two more lads if possible --so let me know asap. Marc Owen is a possible but I will not know until Tuesday if he can make it.

Unfortunately due to unavailabilty, injury and withdrawals we will now not be able to put on a 250 2nd half at Redcar on Saturday (June 14th). Apologies to those who were looking forward to it and to the lads who were available --but hopefully we will be at Peterborough next Thursday now and Sheffield also want the lads during the school holidays.

sorry but only had the one I used. Will see if Dave Rattenbury has any as he does the shop at Stoke and usually gets the spare programmes left over.

Need confirmations of those going to Redcar for first one on Sat June 14th ASAP please!!! Once I know numbers will decide if it is just races, individual , team event , pairs or whatever. Thanks gang!! Laurence
