Have had to give Adam Kirby the disappointing news that he cannot line-up in the meeting after all. If he was on a 250 he could have ridden in the 250 event but he is on a 500 but is not 14 till February. Naturally he is really disappointed with the news --but his time will come although at the moment that must seems a million years away for the lad . Also had text off Marc Owen to say that the Eastbourne meeting he was due to ride in on Saturday is now on Sunday and he riding for the Rye House Academy team --so we are working on a replacement for Marc. Joe Jacobs hope to be fit enough to ride after crashing yesterday. He has a minor fracture in his hand and heavy bruising. Full line-ups soon from Jayne. ALSO --a BIG thank you to Barry Simpson who has agreed to give product sponsorship for the meeting and I am sure the lads will be pleased with this .

Think it is Manchester but entirely sure --but what a promising young talent he is.

On the last point no idea --we were awaiting whether or not from Graham Reeve but he said not. I have ht 3 down as Lloyd third and Tyler fourth but could be wrong as I was then ensuring we had the correct riders in the correct helmet colours out for ht 4 of the 500's !! The boys were so keen that we had some going out for the wrong race at times early on until they waited for me or Cheesy to tell them !! Even had to run to the line to bring Lloyd back in ht 2 of the 250's when he was in ht 3 !!! But an enjoyable day despite the drizzle and mist. Looking forward now to next Sunday for the Hitmen v Dragons U-16 clash + a six heat six 'man' 250 mini-meeting.

Hi Phil --the 250' s will have 6 races of their own so Nathan should get 4 rides.

Just had e-mail off Rhys Naylor that he booked to ride somewhere else!! Taken him off list and will work on replacement this weekend.

Now added in Marc Owen to list a he is 90% certain to ride . Had e-mail off Jayne to say that Tom Woolley is riding a short track meeting that day but we have added Jack Hirst to the line-up.

Would see what Jayne and Richard want to do and then try to get 6-8 250 lads there and do a second half with them.

Not sure if it is allowed to have 250 and 500's in same race ? Remember something about this with the Under 15's Championships when I was involved wih them.

Was just looking at doing a 250 second half --will check with Jayne tomorrow and report back.

Had a call off Jayne Moss today to see if I could help to arrange an Under 16 meeting at Buxton on Sunday October 19th. We have a few riders pencilled in to take part and I will be in contact with riders on my lists to see if they want to ride. It will be a 15 heat , normal 7 man teams event . Team names to follow. Well done to one and all. Just sorry I couldn't make it for the meeting to watch these emerging young talents . Totally agree that there should be more meetings or a defined structure to the lad's racing. Having had involvment with most of the lads on show and their parents I know that is what they want and surely the future of British Speedway needs the lads at this level and age to be supported and nurtured.
