Bydgoszcz Gp And Torun Play Off
Mateusz replied to bruno's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Take warm panties all you coming to Poland. It's gonna be around 0 at night this weekend in Bydgoszcz, 5-7 degrees in a daytime. It's already got pretty cold, only 3 at the moment in Poznan. Thankfully it should not rain according to the forecasts I follow.. and should not snow either Speedway season should finish in Poland in the end of September - too much trouble with the bloody weather in October. -
Tickets for the Bydg GP have been sold out. There may only be a few on sale closer to time when the club gets some rejects from the online sale.

Rico, Upset Somebody In Poland...
Mateusz replied to Sir Jasper's topic in International World of Speedway
The picture is real. Torun are gonna be fined for this banner hung by their fans. Polish speedway has seen a lot, but this banner caused quite a big scandal and was widely discussed in the speedway media in Poland. -
Gdansk V Wroclaw Relegation Play-off 2nd Leg
Mateusz replied to racers and royals's topic in International World of Speedway
Looks like Skornicki has dropped his team to Division 1. With a big help from Andersen, almost thoughout the whole season 42:48 and Wroclaw won it without Crump. -
Well, obviously it's gonna be a sell out at that final match, the whole city wants to see the final + thousands from ZG who are probably the best organised fans in Poland and there's always lots of them at ZG away matches. It was a sell out yesterday as well. Torun stadium capacity is 15 thousand and media report there were 17 thousand fans at the semi against Cz-wa. The final match should take place at Wembley or Millenium Stadium, such stadium should be big enough I guess the tickets will be on sale around one week before, like they told you, that's how it usually is before such big matches. I'll be keeping my eye on SportoweFakty.pl and other speedway websites so if there's something going on I will let u know here but I hope you guys will be able to book your tickets through the club cause there will be nothing to look for in the ticket boxes on Oct 18th I'm afraid..

2009 Grand Prix Competition - Third Period

Gollob as my captain for Krsko please -
It was 54-36 at ZG earlier this season. And as for today's match - the outside started working about heat 11-12. That's why AJ and Emil struggled earlier on. If it had not rained in Bydgoszcz before the match the track would have been much slicker and Bydgoszcz could have won around 55-35. However, Davidsson would probably not exist on a slick track so who knows, actually... Anyway, next Sunday's match at ZG is gonna be a cracker

After The Bydgoszcz Gp
Mateusz replied to robolots's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
If, somehow, Bydgoszcz qualify for the final there will be nothing after the Grand Prix - the final 2nd leg will take place one week later because Polonia Bydgoszcz must have their track for practice before the 2nd leg match (and BSI take the track over on Monday before the GP). However, the chances Bydgoszcz will get through are little But... ZG are riding today (and next week too, probably) without PePe (using R/R) so... we'll see. A lot may be decided today. Unless Bydgoszcz score more than 50 pts today, they will have no chance in the 2nd leg. And if you want the post GP match close to Bydgoszcz, not in ZG, keep your fingers crossed for Torun today -
2 Gp`s In A Weekend In Poland
Mateusz replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Leszno and Bydgoszcz agreements with BSI are still valid for next year. But it's likely the extra GP in Poland is going to be held at Torun But I can't really see both GPs (in Bydg and Torun) at the same weekend. Fans would love it but rides.. - I'm not so sure -

They used to but the last time was 3 years ago or something.

League regulations are exactly the same as last year so the number of matches is the same too. But I don't like this breaks and Sundays without speedway either.

I'm happy we are racing against Torun It's a derby match so u never know... although Bydg are not the favourites of course. But it's gonna be a sell out both at Bydg and at Torun I'm sure 7 & 8 have their race-off on Oct 11th & 18th. So a very long break for Gdansk and Wroclaw now.
