  1. Wroclaw matches should be banned on tv 16th Aug - 1st round of play off, 1st leg Bydgoszcz v Torun ... - ... ... - ... 30th Aug - 1st round of play off, 2nd leg Torun v Bydgoszcz ... - ... ... - ... Will post two other pairs when today's two other matches are finished. Winners of each pair (3 teams) & one lucky loser (the team which loses home&away by the smallest number of points) go through to the next round of play-off.
  2. Watching Cz-wa v ZG now... Another match for nothing. But Pedersen is back so there may be some controversy
  3. I'm warning that Wroclaw v Bydgoszcz may be dull The Wroclaw track is cr@p, all about the gate usually... And both teams are fighting for nothing tomorrow actually cause Wroclaw will finish 8th before the play-off (mathematically no chances for any higher place) and Bydgoszcz will finish 6th (unless Gdansk win at Torun which is impossible).
  4. Start times of league matches are usually announced not earlier than 2-3 weeks before. And it can be anything from 4 pm till 8 pm. Usually in September or October they start rather earlier (about 4 pm) than later because of the low temperature.
  5. 90 million zlotys which is about 18 million pounds.
  6. And finally Bydgoszcz v Gorzow to download: http://rapidshare.com/files/260664443/Polonia_Bydgoszcz___Caelum_Stal_Gorzow26.07.2009.part01.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/260683686/Polonia_Bydgoszcz___Caelum_Stal_Gorzow26.07.2009.part02.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/260663794/Polonia_Bydgoszcz___Caelum_Stal_Gorzow26.07.2009.part03.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/260685312/Polonia_Bydgoszcz___Caelum_Stal_Gorzow26.07.2009.part04.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/260680644/Polonia_Bydgoszcz___Caelum_Stal_Gorzow26.07.2009.part05.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/260690448/Polonia_Bydgoszcz___Caelum_Stal_Gorzow26.07.2009.part06.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/260668242/Polonia_Bydgoszcz___Caelum_Stal_Gorzow26.07.2009.part07.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/260692162/Polonia_Bydgoszcz___Caelum_Stal_Gorzow26.07.2009.part08.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/260678110/Polonia_Bydgoszcz___Caelum_Stal_Gorzow26.07.2009.part09.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/260698453/Polonia_Bydgoszcz___Caelum_Stal_Gorzow26.07.2009.part10.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/260677260/Polonia_Bydgoszcz___Caelum_Stal_Gorzow26.07.2009.part11.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/260700481/Polonia_Bydgoszcz___Caelum_Stal_Gorzow26.07.2009.part12.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/260677566/Polonia_Bydgoszcz___Caelum_Stal_Gorzow26.07.2009.part13.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/260700934/Polonia_Bydgoszcz___Caelum_Stal_Gorzow26.07.2009.part14.rar
  7. Bydgoszcz v Gorzow can be watched online here: http://sport.tvp.pl/zuzel/centernet-mobile...lum-stal-gorzow ...but it does require IE 8 and Windows Media Player 11. It didn't worked when I had IE 6 and WMP 8 but updated both applications and it works now
  8. Most matches are recorded by fans, encoded to some divx or xvid like dvd-rip films and then uploaded on servers like rapidshare etc. When u find it u only have to download those few rapidshare files (100 or 200 mb each), extract into one file and there u go Will try to find some links to the video of this match when I get back home tonight and paste them here as I want to watch it once again too
  9. Just got back from the stadium... and almost lost my voice there What a match it was!!! And the race 14 - a great pair riding of Lindback and Chrzanowski which sealed the deal and actually saved Ekstraliga for Bydgoszcz Over the moon
  10. Whatever. I'm gonna have 3 great weekends of a speedway fest in my country. Other nations can only dream about it.
  11. Normally I'd wish a long celebration for the winner but Gollob doesn't drink alcohol so would not work in this case. Gollob may do the maximum but I hope the rest of Gorzow team will be more or less rubbish What I read in the last issue of "Tygodnik Zuzlowy" is that BSI's plan is to make 3 GPs in Poland next year - Bydgoszcz, Leszno and Torun. And FIM are about to accept it
  12. Despite taking the piss of the Torun favourites and cheering for TG , we had no trouble neither at the stadium nor on our way home The racing wasn't as good as I expected to be honest, but the meeting was very enjoyable because of the result and the general fun Don't kick the lying ones
  13. Have just got back from Torun... What a night it was for such a hardcore fan of Gollob & Bydgoszcz like me ! A great experience to watch Tomek doing this again, this time in the old enemy's territory Remarkable happenings in the end - Gollob applauded by the locals when on his way to the rostrum (shock!) and Torun's hero Miedzinski booed heavily by them after beating Jagus in heat 19 Zabik/Balinski crash looked horrible and it was really 'unnecessary' - they were both fighting for nothing at that point ... Hope they'll recover quickly.
  14. 99% probability Bydgoszcz won't be in the final So after the Bydg GP we're gonna have the Ekstraliga final, the question is where... My predition: same as last year - in Torun.
  15. A nice combination Yeah, the Friday practice takes place at 15.oo - 17.oo. Hopefully we'll meet up at some point
  16. There's a programme of the whole SWC weekend in "Tygodnik Zuzlowy" ("Speedway Weekly") but I don't see there any cycle speedway meetings, unfortunately... which actually doesn't have to mean there won't be such As for the other 'attractions'... On Friday evening, a march of Polish riders, hussars (a new symbol of the Polish team ), chicks and other objects is to go from the Leszno Old Sqr to the stadium. This is to start at 18.30 and the parade is supposed to arrive at the stadium about 19.15... Then the official presentation of the Polish team is to take place. May be funny, am gonna hang around it. Where are you gonna sit? Are you brining your Gollob Poland-Scotland-Poland flag with u?
  17. Bydgoszcz prices, which are average Ekstraliga prices: Grandstand (numbered seats) - £12 First bend (numbered seats) - £6 Backstraight - £5 adults, £3.5 kids
  18. 5 thousand, maybe 7 thousand at the race-off and the stadium almost full at the final, I reckon... Ticket prices were more expensive two years ago, as far as I remember, and the crowd was around 25 thousand at the final so I hope it won't be different this time As Rico said, it's really not too expensive this time. I'm gonna buy myself the cheapest tickets for the backstraight (unnumbered seats) and then I can walk freely to other areas, if I want to (especially at the the race-off with the stadium crowded in 1/4, 1/3 maybe)
  19. This would work fine I think - same as a rider with number 7 (15) in the Polish league who can replace any rider at any time whether he's injured or just weak on a given day (being allowed to rider 5 times only, or 6 if TR)
  20. Well, everyone in the Polish team (the coach and the riders) claims they are gonna fight for the victory in Peterborough and not calculate... I'm not sure how honest they are in what they say in media but now, having two strong teams (Denmark and Sweden) in the race-off I would rather Poland get through directly. Race-off may be a risk as if one of riders gets injured at the beginning and is unable to carry on, the team may be in serious trouble. I think that if Poland win in Peterborough the crowd at the race-off won't be too impressive but should be a sell-out at the final, especially that ticket prices are much more decent than at last GP in Leszno. Nice ones
  21. He's not the team captain any more, is he?
