  1. Haven't heard any bad news about him recently so I guess that yes.
  2. If Torun manage to keep Andersen, Kosciecha will be lent to Gdansk. Otherwise, Kosciecha stays in Torun and Andersen goes to Gdansk...
  3. Good idea, more time for post speedway drinking
  4. 61 million zl. Which is about 13,5 million pounds May be 10 million zl more if they decide now to build the roof covering the track as well...
  5. They even cancelled all lectures/classes at Poznan universities and sent students home to host some conference guests in dorms. Which was a brilliant idea - having over 2 weeks off extra now
  6. Most fans buy their tickets on the day of the event and there's never any problem with it. Just the queues may be a bit longer or shorter depending on the rival but I don't remember a sell out at a league match, even against Torun. So no worries
  7. For those asking earlier - the matches start between 4 pm and 8 pm. So the average time is 6 pm There's no rule when a match should start, it's all up to the clubs. Normally, in colder months (April, May & Sep, Oct) it's a bit ealier (around 4 pm) and in summer, when it's really hot here, a bit later (around 6 or 7 pm). The exact hour is usually released about 1,5 week before the meeting.
  8. As Rico said, Zielona Gora v Leszno or Torun v Bydgoszcz. Both derby matches but the first one is closer to Leszno.
  9. Earlier than I expected, Ekstraliga fixtures were released today! 2009 Ekstraliga fixtures Leszno GP weekend: 5th round - 10th May Wroclaw - Torun Gorzow - Czestochowa Gdansk - Leszno Bydgoszcz - Zielona Gora Leszno SWC weekend: 12th round - 19th July Zielona Gora - Leszno Gorzow - Gdansk Czestochowa - Wroclaw Torun - Bydgoszcz Bydgoszcz GP weekend: 18th October Ekstraliga Final, 2nd leg This is unless Bydgoszcz qualify for this final. If Bydgoszcz do (quite unlikely to happen tho'..), the final match will take place one week later.
  10. Polish Motorcycle Federation have released Polish speedway fixtures for 2009. Detailed league calendars are be released in the first part of Dec but we already know there are going to be league matches after both Polish GPs - Leszno (9th May) and Bydgoszcz (17th Oct) The question is what matches and where... Surely they won't be held, respectively, at Leszno or Bydgoszcz but hopefully somewhere nearby. As for the Bydg GP weekend, it's the last league date so obviously it will be the second leg of the final (just like this year) http://www.sportowefakty.pl/zuzel/2008/11/...uje-5-kwietnia/ PS. And there's a league round after the SWC Final at Leszno as well ! PS 2. Road Trip 3.0, Rico?
  11. Gollob sealing the deal in Bydgoszcz and being crowned the World Champion has been my greatest speedway dream for 11 years Maybe this time
  12. This year the second Bydg GP was on Oct 18th so almost the same date and it was bitterly cold, about 5 degrees. So it may be the same but it doesn't have to... October can be relatively warm in Poland. I was on a trip in the Polish mountains in the mid of Oct three years ago and it was warm enough to hang around in t-shirts then. So we can hope
  13. Had two ticket at £20 and the booking fee was £1,25 so £41,25 in total and I got this whole amount back.
  14. Just a bit But seriously: Gollob - hope he hasn't said his last word yet May do the rostrum again or may finish around the 6th place. But got a feeling this first version is more likely to happen. There has been a visible progress in his GP rides for recent two years and may it continue! All he needs is more consistence (no rubbish performances like at Cardiff this yr). Emil - I believe he can finish in top 8. His balance on a bike, the way he finds paths and catches speed are awesome. Sometimes like TG at his best... Am only a bit worried he may kill himself a couple of times at such superb tracks like Gothenburgh or Cardiff. AJ - the guy seems to have stopped in his progress at some point but maybe this year he'll finally make that step ahead (top 3 ?). Unknown for me but not lower than top 8, for sure. Anyway, these are the 3 ones I'll be cheering for, in the order as above, of course. ( Holta - Polish only in SWC for me , Walasek & Ulamek - both probably as hopeless as KK this year but will be happy when proven wrong in this case ...)
  15. Which will never change my opinion that after the German GP scandal they should all burn in hell.
  16. 700 quid a month... It's getting better and better here but not that quickly
  17. A normal ticket in Bydgoszcz cost 18 zl this season... In Ekstraliga it's gonna a bit more, maybe around 22 zl, I reckon. Which is about £5 and a programme costs about £0,75 - £1. In some cities it's more expensive - even £7 or £8 for those top derby matches and play-off ones... Still, not more than half of what you have to pay to watch BEL "action". Polish average wage is about 3000 zl afaik (~ £700).
  18. Same here - still no money from See Tickets and no reply to my e-mail which was sent on Friday either. Am gonna try to call them tomorrow.
  19. I still haven't got my money from See Tickets so I emailed them yesterday (as the BSI website says that refunds from See Tickets should come back into accounts until Oct 31st...).
