  1. And Torun are almost dead due to debts (800 000 PLN). Now it's almost certain they won't be given a licence to ride in Ekstraliga. It means being relegated to Division 1 or 2 (not sure). I'm from Bydgoszcz so my attitude to Torun is well known but it's a huge shame we're not gonna have the next battle of our holy war in 2007... Jagus to Bydgoszcz then...? If so, time to change a repertoir of our some songs slightly
  2. Too early to worry. Sooner or later there are gonna be some serious works at the stadium. The question is if we'll have a break for a year/two or not.
  3. Holta has gone to Tarnow. The contract is due to be signed in December when he's back from his holidays. Both the club and the rider has got everything fixed so it's certain.
  4. I don't know. They just think it will make matches more interesting or so All I know is that now we'll have these stupid results which total is not 90 or about. No, that's not the point! This cut is to make the match table clearer etc. and avoid some other controversions. Most teams are not in financial trouble, apart from Torun who are still not sure if they'll be riding in Ekstraliga next year. Every team has to show a proof of financial stability and lack of debts. Unless someone does, they are out (which may happen to Torun). - - - - - My short opinion about it all: - Every single year we got new rules. Some of them are good but mostly it's just another crap. What fans here really would like is to save given regulations for at least 2-3 years and check how/if they work. One year is usually not enough and then when winter comes it's all analysed on a last season's situation in the league. That is stupid. 2 years ago we had play-offs. Later they decided play-offs are bad. But now have it again! No sense, consequence at all! - All these joker, tape etc. rules make only more mess and more controversions.. If teams are good, the track is prepared well there will be a good meeting anyway and we don't need such regulations like joker. Knowing Polish reality where speedway is more than a religion sometimes these strange rules will cause LOTS OF disputes and working out how/who/when...
  5. Alright guys, here you got Ekstraliga regulations for next year: - Still 8 teams - When a team is losing with 10 or more points a joker substitution can be taken. The joker's points are x2 (I guess that when he's 3rd it's x2 as well) and the joker can be done only once by a team in a match. - When a rider touches the tape he's excluded but his place can be taken by a reserve rider (u-21, number 7 / 14). - No reserve rider with number 8 / 16 (7 riders in a line-up, not 8 as it was this yr).
  6. Emil has signed a 2-year long contract with Masarna Avesta.
  7. Andreas has just signed a 2-year contract (2007 and 2008) with Polonia
  8. Now it's more likely it will remain the same as it was - I mean 8 teams in Ekstraliga. The rules shouldn't be changed during the game but it's a Polish mess so you can never be sure.. As far as I know in the end of October there's a meeting of those fellas who govern over speedway here and the final rules (inc the amount of teams) for 2007 are to be fixed. The end of January for signing riders on contracts. Later you can loan riders only.
  9. The problem with Zagar is that he doesn't seem to want to ride in all meetings. And we're looking for a full-time rider.
  10. Gollob may go to Torun (!) if Mr Kartosik (ranked #5 on the list of Polish richest men) invest some serious money in the Torun club. Both guys have got some common business connected with Gollob's petrol stations around Bydgoszcz. PePe and AJ will stay in Bydgoszcz. Same as Kosciecha and our U-21 boys who are already in. The menagement of Polonia is having talks with Sullivan, Zagar, Holta and B.Pedersen now. At least one of them should supply the team for next year. Personally I hope it will be Ryan
  11. Right. And it makes Sullivan's transfer to Bydgoszcz more likely
  12. Exactly. It's mostly all about the ticket prices. And the track which is far better than the one in Wroclaw..
  13. It was not riot police but just security guards we have at every match here The riot police have got guns & shields as well.
  14. Exactly. I love Torun struggling but I don't want them to fall down.
  15. First of all this year's race-offs may be pointless as the league will probably be enlarged. But no one knows how it's gonna look like, which teams in/out etc. Anyway, it would be funny if Apator lose against Ostrow and get relegated down but personally I'd like them to stay in Ekstraliga as it means next battles of the Bydgoszcz-v-Torun holy war
  16. The Unia Leszno official website says that BSI and Unia Leszno have signed a 3-year-long contract (2007-2009) for organising GP's and SWC's as follow: 2007: SWC race-off & final 2008: SGP, SWC one of rounds 2009: SGP, SWC race-off & final (!) I can see huge money pumped into this agreement. As for Leszno - I've been there at speedway once. The city is rather a rubbishhole, really small - about 63.000 people (so sometimes you can see 1/3 of it at speedway ). IMHO nothing to do apart from speedway and beer at the Old Sqr. Fortunately the track is very good (wiiiiiiide) with a great visibility from anywhere at the stadium. Those who have been in Leszno recently know that the stadium needs some serious renovation which I guess will be done soon. /sorry - please move it to the SGP/SWC subforum
  17. Jacek Krzyzaniak - 2,3,3,2,2 = 12 Respect. The guy was absolutely rubbish last year in Bydgoszcz.
  18. The meeting is at 4 pm. Going to it too, by train. I haven't been at speedway in Gniezno before but will find out how to get to the stadium till Sunday.
  19. Officially at 15.30 but I'm almost sure it will be about 15.00. I plan to get to the stadium even around 13.30 to take a good place in a queue at the gates.
  20. Yes. Around 18.oo or so. Probably the same stuff as every year so I don't think I'll go unless I have to.
  21. Polonia Bydgoszcz Net F@ns Forum with an English section
  22. It's been very warm (sunny, clear sky, no rain) for a few last days and I hope it won't change at least until next week
  23. LOL. Nothing's 100% in speedway. He'll go where they can pay him more. Simple. They're not the only club chasing to sign HA. But Wroclaw will do everything to keep him and more than likely they'll manage to do it.
  24. I'm absolutely not up to date with Polish Division 1 but looking at line-ups of both teams for tomorrow's league matches it might be: Gorzow: Paluch, Klingberg, Kylmaekorpi, Jansson, Ruud, Dabrowski Gniezno: Jankowski, Jurczynski, Cieslewicz, Borzykowski, Pecyna, Gomolski I decided to go Gniezno as there's nothing better to do on Sunday and speedway is always speedway, not matter what level Tarnow's definitely too far me to go as I have to be in Poznan at the Uni on Monday morning. I don't expect any excitement at such a match of Division 1 - just a trip with some of my British friends to get a bit pissed and have some fun
