  1. Good grief, this rain keeping everyone in doors has a lot to answer for.
  2. I think its fair to say the chances of Berwick making the play offs are at best slim. http://sheffieldspeedway.co/news.php?extend.1924 Looks like our friends are targeting an away win tomorrow night.
  3. To think where he was a couple of weeks ago to where he is now is a miracle, but if Lewis shows the same determination I am sure he will be fighting fit in no time.
  4. Agree with this, Berwick had a few weeks off in June to, which as Fromafar points out means the people get out of the habit or find other things to do. But its not just Berwick, most teams in PL or EL will have had empty weeks this season which IMO needs to be looked at for next season, hopefully with the inclusion of Berwick. As for the posters, I think there is one on the notice board in Tesco and another on the notice board in Castle Gate with another in Taffy`s I think, but your right its disappointing that during the summer months more isn't being made to get the extra people in the town along to the speedway on a Saturday night though to be fair if there`s no meetings on its difficult to promote them.
  5. Agreed, Saturdays meeting will give a opportunity to see if the supporters of speedway in Berwick really want it or not, no speedway for a couple of weeks, good forecast and attractive opposition should get people along.
  6. Correct Castagna was indeed the wildcard for the first Under-21 Final along with Nicolas Vincentin.
  7. Lets just be grateful that Redcar and Scunthorpe are below us, though if Berwick`s losing streak continues that may change. Lets hope the new resurfaced track helps cure our white line fever.
  8. The lesson must surely have been learned when Ben Barker came back to soon from his early season injury, though IMO in the case of Vissing his absence from the team should've been addressed as running with R/R for so long has done the team no good.
  9. It would make sense, Vissings Polish club KSM Krosno are having about as good as season as Berwick are and are very unlikely to make any play off, unsure as to where his Danish club stands in their league.
  10. I take it there will be a Jason Doyle should be red carded thread starting very soon.
  11. For those who are defending Mr Doyle will need to see what he`s just done to Linus Eklof in Sweden.
  12. Hopefully not to long, this is taken from the riders website. After some weeks of silence, we are happy to announce, that after his knee injury, Claus will most probably be back and fit for fight at the beginning of August. That, at least, is the goal, he set for himself after having his knee scanned and having consulted his doctors a couple of days ago. And, determined to achieve it, he immediately started an intensive training programme. - The latest scanning revealed, that my knee will need surgery after all, Claus said. But fortunately, my doctors have allowed me to postpone it till the speedway season is over, so, now I have started training hard, aiming at being ready to ride again at the beginning of August. Claus explained, that his right leg muscles still are not strong enough for him to ride his speedway bikes, which, consequently, will remain in the workshop for another couple of weeks, while he himself will be busy riding his push-bike. Besides that, his training programme consists of lots of weight and ball training, until he has regained the strength to get back on his motor bikes. Which is expected to happen at the end of July and, if everything goes as planned, Claus will be ready to rejoin his teams at the beginning of August.
  13. Looks like you have started this thread without seeing the actual incident concerned, if you had your thread title would've had wrongly in between Pedersen and red. Its quite clear Pedersen`s reputation preceded him in this instance.
  14. Hopefully the fact that Scunthorpe have now signed two new riders who will become assets means that the promotion is looking to the future of his team being on track.
  15. Workington Comets ‏@OfficialComets 1m1 minute ago Good to hear @kyle_howarth has been released from hospital with no broken bones and will be resting at home
  16. I`d be more worried about the starting manoeuvres of the Berwick riders, ie how to get out of the starts and to the first bend before opposition riders. Only Workington and Redcar due to be racing in the PL next Saturday, with Leicester and Kings Lynn in the EL, so with 10-93pts to play with there`s lots of options for a suitable guest to cover the injured Stead.
  17. Looking at comments on other social they certainly don't see Josh Grajczonek as a dirty rider, far from it in fact.
  18. Disgusting comment but one oh so typical of this poster. I think I`m right in saying Josh did, or still does, stay with Kyle when he is racing over here.
  19. Question. Is Kasprzak the first speedway rider ever to have reverse as a gear on his bike ?. Red helmet colour wasted on Kasprzak.
  20. Woffindens "only working at 80%" comment coming back to bite him on the rear end.
  21. Kasprzak warming up nicely for tomorrows Derby by stuffing his team mate.
  22. Nice words from Kelvin & Nigel regarding Lewis Kerr.
  23. i know there`s only been two races, but this looks like gate and go all night long.
