  1. And has been punished for doing so, something that Ward has yet to be.
  2. You give me far to much credit, I think of myself as neither, I am no better nor no worse than anyone else on here. Have a word and come back a little more light hearted, life far to short for such sarcasm.
  3. According to Bridger without any sponsors he his having to spend half his seasons money on getting kit ready for the start of the season.
  4. The new owners at Glasgow are certainly putting huge efforts into their speedway team, I hope they will be rewarded by huge crowds when the season gets going.
  5. Never claimed to have the answer to it all, but I do have an opinion, which I will post on here with monotonous regularity. Just think, use both you usernames and you`ll get it all in duplicate.
  6. Its called having an opinion, you should give it a bash sometime. If Jorgensen can maintain his starting average he will be doing just fine, IMO I see Barker & Vissing doing the main scoring with Doolan & Jorgensen providing the back up. Voldrih could be anything, hopefully good rather than bad, Edberg`s the one for me who has to show significant improvement, he has the experience , he certainly has the kit, he now has to deliver.
  7. Glasgow have signed Richard Lawson on a full transfer. Glasgow Tigers have landed another major boost ahead of the new speedway season, by signing Richard Lawson on a permanent transfer. The Ashfield club have bought their new No 1 from Workington Comets ahead of his first campaign in the red and white. Lawson’s signing was announced at the end of last year, but he was only on loan at that stage. The deal to make him a full Tigers asset means that his matches for them take precedence over any fixtures he has in the Elite League, where he rides for Lakeside Hammers. It comes just days after Glasgow secured the permanent transfer of Australian rider Aaron Summers from Redcar Bears. The investment in both riders is the latest from new owners Gerry and Michael Facenna, of Allied Vehicles, who are also spending big to make the Tigers’ facilities at Ashfield Stadium among the best in British speedway. Lawson says he had no hesitation in agreeing to join Glasgow permanently given the excitement that is surrounding the club. The 28-year-old Cumbrian said: “I was very open to the suggestion of being transferred to Glasgow and being a full part of what is being planned there. I’ve not ridden for Workington in a number of seasons now, and it will be nice to race again for my parent club. “As the season gets ever closer, I’m feeling more and more excited about the challenges ahead and helping to repay the faith Glasgow have placed in me.” Alan Dick, Glasgow co-promoter, said: “We are thrilled to confirm that Richard is now a fully-fledged Tiger. He’s a popular rider with Glasgow fans despite never having ridden for us and he will certainly provide us with that ability to win heats home and away which every club requires from its No 1 rider. “In speaking with Workington it became evident that Richard was for sale, and we quickly decided that there were only benefits from striking a deal to purchase him on a full-time basis. “We know that Richard will also race for Elite side Lakeside, however, now as his parent club, our league and cup fixtures will take precedence should there arise any fixture clashes. “With everything which is going on around the club being so very positive this latest signing is yet another boost to our supporters and just the latest reason to feel very excited about the future.” Meanwhile, with the new season set to start next month, the club are continuing to work with the UK Visas and Immigration department to secure the necessary paperwork required to allow winter signing Kozza Smith to link-up with the Tigers. The Australian, 26, is one of several overseas riders who is having to obtain the correct permissions to ride in British speedway in 2015 – following some administrative issues for clubs across the country. 8. When the student is ready, the master appears.
  9. Didn't he announce his retirement a couple of seasons ago, its one helluva farewell tour.
  10. Its always been a speedway forum, but being a Berwick thread it just takes an odd turn every so often.
  11. Correct, as I say not a great night for Berwick.
  12. Maybe we could start a Facebook page with people liking your suggestion, they`ll do that for just about anything these days.
  13. It seems the sensible way forward, I would test all 16 in the main meeting plus the two meeting reserves, no picking and choosing, fair to everyone, and most importantly it would catch the riders who choose to put theirs and their fellow riders at risk.
  14. Agreed, the way Gjedde was introduced when he made his return was not a very proud night for Berwick Speedway, as you say completely unprofessional and totally indefensible.
  15. Correct, to be fair though most of the GP lads wont drink during the season, and certainly not the night before a GP.
  16. Look at what has become of us, squabbling amongst ourselves, when we have spectacularity of Ben Barker to look forward to.
  17. Can you imagine the reaction on here had Pedersen been the one to fail the alcohol test, thankfully Pedersen is more professional than that.
  18. Never underestimate the power of stupid people in a large group.
  19. Post 2358 is quite dis-tasteful to IMO, but there you go.
  20. So to be clear you are blaming Bunyan for ending the career of Robert Ksiezak.
  21. Unibax may have Laguta but don't they also have the plonky Ward.
  22. I think another team should have the pleasure of Bunyan in their team, the Berwick team looks fine to me.
  23. First part yes, especially from the certain posters. Second part no, especially from certain posters.
  24. Giving that Berwick`s crowds aren't as great as everyone would like them to be I would've thought getting as many apples along as possible wouldn't be a bad idea, rotten or otherwise.
