Stockholm Gp September 21st
screm replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I've translated some Polish sites and it appears Gollob displaced the T7 vertebrae in his neck, he will undergo scans for any possible head injury, which Id imagine is routine as he had suffered a concussion last night. -

I see the Monster guy has got his hooks into Tai nice and early, cant someone tie him up out the back somewhere. -
I didnt think Woffinden would get top eight, let alone the top step. But all credit to him,he will be a worthy World Champ, its true to say he had a bit of good fortune with first Holder dropping out then Sayfutdinov but in twenty years the books will show the 2013 World Champ as Tai Woffinden and thats all that matters.

It would be a tradgedy if speedway was to be lost in Sheffield, but Im sure theres somebody out there who can take things over and give the Sheffield fans a secure future.

The topic on this thread over the last few days might tell you just how actual interest there is in this meeting. R/R for Smith weakens Berwick IMO as I dont see the rest of the team getting what Smith wouldve scored.Though they should have way to much against a Rye House side who are looking forward to the KOC.

Berwick V Sheffield Ricky Ashworth Meeting 28/9/2013 @7pm
screm replied to screm's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Super gesture from the Berwick Rangers Supporters Club, who have said they want no rent from the speedway for this meeting, meaning they get the stadium for free. -
Maybe Dudley will announce Paul Starke as the first one on next year list, could fit into either league.

I get what Bigeddiechek is saying,no fan would want our promotion to get the cheque book out to have one trophy laden season only for Berwick Speedway to collaspe and be no more, look ast Newport.Though I dont see why Berwick cant be successful in the long term, but right now that seems unachieveable as has been already been pointed out theres been no real progress up the PL table in the last few seasons, yes injuries have played their part but we havent been the only club to suffer from those.

There are too many of you to all reply to at once with my old age technology skills! ha ha, ricky is doing fine although he is in discomfort, the physios have him hoisted in a chair a few hours a week in a reclined position, which takes the weight of his lungs, cant wait for him to finally wake up! missing my legend like mad! C'mon son!

The Sky meeting along side the Under-21 meeting this season, the GP Qualifier meeting from last season are all great meetings to host and a credit to the Berwick promotion, but its the week to week bread and butter PL meetings where Berwick are judged and most fans form their opinions and Im afraid the riders assembled are not up to the task of getting Berwick into reasonable positions in the league.
