  1. Its obvious that the BSPL Chairman and committee made the rules up last night on the back of a fag packet, something that should come as a surprise to nobody. Of course there should have been a contingency plan long before last night as to what happens if and when the weather plays its part, in fact they could've left it up to last night to come up with a plan before the tapes went up on Ht1, especially as there was an iffy forecast.
  2. In a perfectly perfect World couldn't we have the re-staging of the British Final the night before Cardiff, it would solve alot of arguing.
  3. Sorry but I haven't seen anything on here that would convince me that Adam Ellis is deserving of this years wild card pick for Cardiff because of something he did last year, irrespective of last nights rain. Surely one of the younger riders has far more to gain, Tom Brennan would be my personal pick, maybe even Leon Flint who has at least had the decency to actually win something this year.
  4. Yes but most of the BSPL committee would struggle to know how many votes make 6, its a case of 2 + 2 = yellow for most of them.
  5. What a shambles regarding Ellis, no way should he be going to Cardiff because of what he did last year. He will be an embarrassment there but so be it.
  6. Lee Complin definitely riding in this meeting, he was due to be riding on the Isle of Wight tomorrow but has with drawn to ride in a Championship meeting.
  7. Jonas Knudson gets another run out for his Polish club Unia Leszno in their away meeting at Stal Gorzow, meeting is on Tuesday.
  8. Surely the Plymouth promotion will be handing out free pens for those with a programme as they will be writing all night. This meeting could set a new record for guests and good old R/R.
  9. I would've thought he would have been on the same flight as Brennan and Flint who got to Berwick without issues.
  10. They are at the minute anyway, Plymouth only have one maybe two confirmed riders. I think even Berwick could cope with that.
  11. As mentioned previous Danyon Hume comes into replace Ben Barker with Connor Mountain coming into replace the injured Craig Cook. Meeting reserves now Simon Lambert and Drew Kemp.
  12. Speaking of Harris he has made the long trip from Berwick last night down to Dig dog Lane in Kent for today ACU British Masters.
  13. Just looking a Berwick`s remaining home fixture`s and the Scunthorpe meeting is down as an 8pm start, that cant be right surely. https://www.berwickspeedway.com/fixtures/season/2022/
  14. Berwick don't have a license to get the kind of visa needed for the likes of Knudson, whether there is arrangement that sees the rider become a Glasgow asset I wouldn't know, I guess us fans will find out when we need to know. I believe Glasgow have helped out other teams with the same situation.
  15. There has been no rain for the last hour plus, the sky has cleared and there is a strong breeze. MEETING IS ON TODAY Look forward to seeing you all later
  16. Taken from the Mildenhall Facebook page ahead of todays meeting with Kent Good morning We have some rain in the area at the moment and are monitoring the situation. We want to run if possible as the track was prepared ahead of Ride and Slide yesterday and with no stocks is in super condition. However, we are very concious of not making supporters travel and make a potentially wasted journey in these difficult times so will make a decision later this morning. Please bear with us and further updates will be posted on this page in the next hour or so
  17. Last nights collection for the Ben Fund raised the incredible sum of £2025, well done to all.
  18. Team GB had part of Friday and most of Saturday to get a rider there, as you say mechanics and bikes were already there to use. Major over sight by Team GB and it back room staff. In fact you could argue it wouldn't be the worsted idea to have an extra rider there anyway.
  19. And so we have to hope that Plymouth do the decent thing and let Berwick taste a home win before the end of the season, as Glasgow turned up last night without their best rider, a rider late to the meeting, a rider scoring zero and one race where they scored nothing, and still ran out fairly comfortable winners.
