  1. Certainly well down on a normal Berwick v Glasgow match, biggest fact was there wasnt the usual support from our visitors who normally bring big numbers down.Im sure the promotion cant wait for this season to end,so they can take stock before hopefully moving on to next season.
  2. A generally poor and lacklustre meeting last night, sadly any chance of it being a decent meeting ended when Bager and Grajczonek crashed in the first turn of Ht3,both having to withdraw from the meeting.Hopefully both with be back asap but it looks like both have suffered broken bones which will almost certainly end their season. Alden cruised to a fine maximum.and but for a break down in his first ride Dyer may have joined him.For Glasgow, only Sam Masters gave any real resistance though Jade Mudgway have a couple of decent races but all in all not a meeting that will live long in the memory, maybe these end of seasons trophies are such a good idea after all. Crowd last night was no more than reasonable but it seems that even with the reduced admittance money there still isnt enough supporters coming through the gates to make Berwick Speedway viable.
  3. And he`s done that,Ashworth has been excellent this year and has given Berwick a genuine no1,Im sure Sheffield will offer a team place to Ashworth, they`d be crazy not to,but Im hoping Ashworth will return to Berwick next year.
  4. Aldens job in the team is to back up Ashworth as our no1,IMO he has done just that, its true he is a bit of a gate and go merchant but his average has stayed at a reasobable level and Id be hoping he will be one of the first names on our team sheet for next year, dont see the point in looking at another rider, especially when you consider handing out loan fees.
  5. Saturday has started off bright and sunny, and forecast to stay just about like that all day,bit windy and a bit cols but theres nothing in the forecast to threaten tonights meeting.
  6. Fishers had a go at most riders though has he not. Alden for me,though missing Berwick meetings is a draw back, but he is our rider and does a reasonable job in backing up a no1.
  7. Forecast is good for overnight tonight and tomorrow, saturday will be dry and reasonably sunny, tempratures wont be anything to write home about but after the heavy rain, high winds of monday any glimpse of the sun will be welcome. Big few meetings for Nicki Barrett IMO,he has shown in his time with us that he can score some good points and should come under consideration for a team place next year,at reserve he should be a trump card especially with extra rides on offer.
  8. The simple answer is no. Harris says he fancies only doing league racing, plus the GP qualifiers,he did those this season and was eliminated,I see no difference in next years qualification system.
  9. Its not going to happen so its not worth arguing.
  10. You were wrong when you put Carrs name forward earlier this season, and are equally wrong at this juncture to. Carr is where he needs to be,in the NL,and doing well in that league at that.
  11. And replaced by whom, and before you say it no,leave him to NL racing. To be honest there was little point in changing the team in the last few weeks,it was never likely we were going to make the play-offs so what would be the point in either bringing in a brand new rider or shelling out any kind of loan fee.
  12. Berwick Bandits 36 Nick Morris (guest) 2,F,3,3,Fx = 8 Micky Dyer 0,1,2,9 = 3 Robin Aspegren 3,2,4^,3,1 = 13 David Bellego 0,0,0,1 = 1 Sebastian Alden © 2,4^,3,0 = 9 Klaus Jakobsen ® 0,0,0,0 = 0 Tom Perry (guest) ® 1,1*,Fx,0 = 2+1 Above are the scores on the Berwick site,thats one hell of a fourth ride from Micky Dyer.
  13. I think its very safe to say that Jacobsen wont be featuring in our 2013 team.
  14. Carr would do no better than Jacobsen IMO,but no worse either.Anyway Carrs doing just fine in the NL,his scores are reasonable, and he will be learning far more racing against riders that are his equal,he still isnt though ready for PL racing right now.
  15. Im sure we are all waiting for your match report from last night, surely you cant be one of those who critisize from behind a keyboard and not go to the meetings.
  16. Agree with you though you can bet Aspegren wont be short on job offers for next season.
  17. Congratulations to Redcar on their win, they have the favourites tag in this group and you can see why.Another poor performance away from home, something that needs to be looked at when next years team is put together. Just how poor can Jacobsen get.
  18. Whether theres 500 or 500 there tonight, one thing is clear to us all,you wont be one of them.
  19. Dont think you can redeclare your team now, though if Jacobsen was signed as an injury replacement maybe that changes things.Looks like the promotion will leave things as they are for what little is left of the season.
  20. Redcar 1 Ulrich Ostergaard 2 Carl Wilkinson 3 Kevin Doolan 4 Aaron Summers 5 Matej Kus 6 Max Dilger 7 Jade Mudgway Berwick 1 Nick Morris 2 Micky Dyer 3 Robin Aspegren 4 David Bellego 5 Seb Alden 6 Klaus Jacobsen 7 Tom Perry Redcar are at full strength, while Berwick have Nick Morris guesting for Ricky Ashworth,Somersets Tom Perry comes into guest for Nicki Barrett who misses this meeting.
  21. You`d think Workington might need him this coming saturday in their meeting with Edinburgh.
  22. Glasgow have enough about them to make this awkward for Berwick, certainly with Masters and Grieves and to a lesser extent Grajczonek and Campton. Not so sure about Mudgway, who appears to have gone nowhere this season, either with Glasgow nor Redcar, though with Jacobsen in the meeting theres a chance of a point or two for the former Bandit.
  23. Quite a bit of rain this morning especially, right now its very dull and very windy, forecast for tonight is wild and wet with heavy rain forecast for the next 24hrs or so..
  24. Congratulations to the Diamonds on their league win, they have proved to be the best team over the season, even allowing for their injuries, especially Ritchie Warroll, they have had another good season.
