No freaking out here, though you can be sure those posts will follow.

They are about and around the same age as most promoters and younger than most, while its perfectly true to say that Ryan Anderson is a club promoter I was unaware that Mr Hepburn was now on the promotion to,maybe cresent girl is making a club announcement on here.

As a reserve Wilkinson could be a potent weapon, but in the main team he will be no more than dependable, the rider has reached his level IMO.
-
No need to say sorry, its only the loony crew that decide to make something out of nothing.
-
Any time its no bother.

Seems a genuine enough to ask for me,Gary is always being asked on Twitter how he is getting on,his response is usually "getting there" or "slowly",by the looks of things Gary is unsure himself as what to do in the future as far as taking up racing again,I think right now all he is concentrationg on is making a full recovery.

Given that Bellego should become an asset, going on cost aloan, should get him into the team.Nothing against Kozza Smith though but he comes with a loan fee,as does Aspegren of course. The two Id drop from the team I posted is Albin and Edberg,Albin because I dont think he will attain anything like a 5pt average and we cant afford to be throwing away points, and Edberg because IMO we will run for a good few meetings with r/r or worse still going with NL guests to him if he`s still at reserve.
-
Not the team Id choose but my guess for next years team is this. 1 Ricky Ashworth 2 Facundo Albin 3 Robin Aspegren 4 David Bellego 5 Seb Alden 6 Nicki Barrett 7 Alex Edberg

Where on earth have you been.

Fair enough but those who cant get to Somerset or anywherelse for that matter might not have much choice if they want to see abit of speedway. Now that the buy-out has fallen through I think it wouldnt be the worst thing if Mr Bowden tried abit of fence building with his fan base,or customers if you want to put it another way.
-
Sheffield would be crazy not to at least put an offer to Ashworth, with Ashworth having a high average he might not want to hang around waiting for any uncertainty over a return to Berwick. All things considered though, should Berwick run next year I think Ashworths name will be the first on the team sheet.

Not sure why you have to highlight my name in bold, havent posted on this thread for days, but now my cage has been rattled here goes. Im in full agreement with Fromafar,it would be very difficult for any single supporter to bring to the club a new main sponsor, but I guess if you dont ask you dont get.Our owners both have businesses of their own,in different fields of course, and Im sure they will have put alot of effort into getting a sponsor through their own contacts, maybe thats the issue that they have to turn to their own supporters.Whatever,I hope a new sponsor can be found in the next week or two and we can take out place in next years PL.
-
No doubt about it.
-
Nor should it,like I posted earlier well done to everyone at Scunthorpe Speedway.
-
You are completely correct,as others have said all the teams knew the rules in March, but Im of the old school, the team with the most points should be declared as PL Champions,if the BSPA then want to tag on some kind of trophy to keep any interest going then fair enough. Change is always for the better.
-
No you didnt, you won the play-offs,Newcastle won the PL.

Berwick V Rye Sat 27th Oct
screm replied to spittalbandit's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Injuries played their part in Berwicks poor PL position,no doubt that but its utter rubbish to say they were the only reason,Im afraid the table doesnt lie,Berwick finished where they deserved to finish,as did every other club.Take Newcastle they were hit by injuries, losing their biggest scorer at the start of the season, yet finished top of the league. Kozza Smith was lost before a wheel had been turned,Ashworth replaced him and IMO we were stronger for it,no dis-respect to Smith.Hertrich left the club as did Sitera, their replacements were Tomicek and King, and Im afraid they just were not up to it,Tomicek was fine as a reserve but struggled when at no2,while King struggled virtually every meeting. Also our away form wasnt good enough, the inability to claim points away from Shielfield meant that we needed to get more full point victories at home, and we didnt. For all that there were bright spots,Robin Aspegren for one,I hope Berwick will do all they can to get him for next season,no doubt there will be competition for his signature but Im sure he was happy with so thats at least a start.Nicki Barrett is another who came in and did reasonably well, especially at reserve, add those two to Ashworth and Alden and you have a good start to next years team. -

screm replied to Shadders's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Dont knock it,a trophy is a trophy at the end of the day and Rye House might not see another for a while.I thought Berwick were a few points shy from the first leg on saturday of winning the Cup up take nothing away from the Rye House team, they deserve their win. -

Untill Jensen has mastered Shielfield then he can never be described as World Class.
