Glasgow have enough about them to make this awkward for Berwick, certainly with Masters and Grieves and to a lesser extent Grajczonek and Campton. Not so sure about Mudgway, who appears to have gone nowhere this season, either with Glasgow nor Redcar, though with Jacobsen in the meeting theres a chance of a point or two for the former Bandit.

Congratulations to the Diamonds on their league win, they have proved to be the best team over the season, even allowing for their injuries, especially Ritchie Warroll, they have had another good season. -

Im sure youre right right, though I seem to remember one or two riders qualified for a reduction, why I wouldnt know, some rules that govern our sport arent worth the paper they are written on,and some others are ignored anyway.

Last thing PL speedway needs is to lose any track,so its great news that the future of Plymouth Speedway appears to be secure.Good luck to the new owners.

Agree,my worry is though that we will build a team to win at home only,if we are to be successful thens its important we pick up points in away meetings.I get the point that the vast majority of our fans see home meetings only, but wouldnt it be nice to have a team that was compeditive in away meetings.
-
Glasgow had the chance of signing Bellego but for whatever reason didnt,Berwick have kept him in the team all season,so IMO theres only one decision, and thats Bellego becomes a Berwick asset, but this is the BSPA so anythings possible. The vast majority of us hide behind usernames,if you want to log on under your real name then off you go,a forum celebrity your arent.

If the promotion are ambitious in bring PL success to Berwick, and Im hoping they are, then it vital a team can pick up points away from home.Otherwise we are only building a team to win at home and win at home alone. And we arent winning at home either.

Complin is certainly one of the most thrilling riders ever to race round Shielfield, but I hope he isnt in next years team. His home scoring isnt up for debate, but its away from home where the problem is,and has been over the last season or two. Hopefully we will get Ashworth back, along with Alden,if Barrett has a proper average Ive seen enough of him to think he can do a job next year, especially if he starts at reserve along with Bellego.

Edinburgh V Ipswich Pl 7/9/12

By beating Ipswich tonight the Scotwaste Monarchs ensured that they remain favourites to grab the sixth Playoff position in the Premier League, though the Witches would be happy enough to take a point in what was rather a contentious affair. Some blatant gamesmanship marred the latter stages of the match, with both Matt Tresarrieu and Rohan Tungate causing stoppages by failing to clear the track when their team was on the wrong end of 1-5 situations, and as ever Speedway’s regrettably feeble rulebook allowed the referee no sanction other than to issue fines. The requirement for all four riders to have completed two laps (including the faller, at the back, on the fourth corner of lap two, excluded from the rerun) is simply ridiculous and a more intelligent rule is urgently required. The current situation has been called a “cheats’ charter” and that was how it looked tonight. Taken from the Monarchs site, sounds interesting happenings at Armadale last night. -

Easier to get to maybe, but if speedway GP struggles to half fill the stadium they use now,it will be the same for the Olympic Stadium. -

Do what I do,record the GP and get along to Shielfield, must admit the GPs are getting more appealing, then of course you run the risk of our centre green presenter dropping the odd hint as to how the GP is going. -

Thought Newcastle might have done a bit better at Sheffield last night,I mean just about everybody wins there these days. Bit of a must win meeting for play-off chasing Newcastle, they are well capable of winning of course, but Im hoping that the Berwick team will want to show they are not as bad as they were at Redcar, and of course we have Alden and Apegren back in the team. -
