How would that work with Danes though? And what if one Weds club moves up and one stays put, who gets the preference?
The Dog
1 hour ago, TTT said: I just can't see him maintaining his average when the league will be much stronger next season if the rumours are true. For me it's a case of not making the same mistakes as this season and that's signing riders on high averages that are far more likely to drop than improve. I can see what you mean but I think even if Harris dropped a point on his average, he'd be a better bet than most. Sometimes it's easy to forget that these riders are on that average for a reason. Harris has had a really good year all round, I'd be tempted to build around him. The mistake teams make is keeping riders who've had a good career but are now averaging 5 or 6 points because people remember their past

Harris has had a good year but personally feel it's time to move away from the Dad's Army boys. Nobody can take 2021 away from us and what they all achieved together but we need to track a new exciting team without those boys including Palin who appeared to go backwards this season prior to injury. All 7 of them will always be in panthers folklore however Edited October 2, 2022 by Flappy

Yes and the reduction in sample size to just 10 meetings made this very much easier to achieve once Boro were out of the play off equation
Gasser90
Where has all the rumours of pboro dropping down to championship come from ? Surely we want as many teams as we can in the premiership.

Wouldn't be surprised that Peterborough drop down they will be run on a very low budget for there last season , cheaper the better for a team that at this moment has a short future, Those that ride in the Peterborough team will be the leftovers that are not wanted or dont fit average wise elsewhere, very similar to Newcastle this season and we know what happened there The premiership may include more riders from the restrictions in Poland but they will come with higher costs which i dont see Peterborough getting involved with. If a team signs someehere around 2 from the restrictions then the attendance prices will rise again just when the country is about to struggle with the cost of living crisis and higher interest rates, madness and those that do gamble may lose out bigtime in 2023 Edited October 3, 2022 by scoobydoo

One there's no real benefit of dropping down plus I can't see any Peterborough team being like Newcastle were.

Costs is the main benefit , having listened back at Busters last meeting speech he says they will race on but doesn't say specifically in which league they will ride everyone just assumed at the time he meant in the premiership Edited October 3, 2022 by scoobydoo
Gasser90
I understand your thinking. However the owner of city auction group like to be in the media. He loves that his company logos get seen on tv and he’s keen to invest more in the club. I think if they moved down then they would lose that title sponsorship for sure
wealdstone
A major mistake crowd wise to drop down. I thought crowds held up quite well this season and would not be surprised if greater than those at KL.

TTT
We'd have the best team in the league if we did drop down. Hans on a 7.00 and MPT on a 6 something would just be our engine room riders.

wealdstone
Would be a shoddy betrayal of supporters should dropping to championship be planned.
Gasser90
Listened to British speedway podcast the other week Damien Bates seemed to suggest all will Be the same next year. Same 6 in the prem. same format, as he’s part of Leicester as well that would be a weird comment to make if they planned to come up ?
