Steve Shovlar
Refusing a test carries the same punishment of being tested positive. He’s stuffed with a long ban regardless.

Both Barker and Kyle Hogarth took their 2nd test so they could argue their case Nick refused so that’s his downfall big ban coming

If these show him to be innocent of drug taking and the SCB accept the evidence as admissible, that might help his case. He may, however, still be punished for non compliance with the testing procedure. 5 hours ago, Fromafar said: If that’s the case are they saying that methods being used in speedway are not right, don’t think that will help his case. 4 hours ago, ruffdiamond said: The thing there is tho, surely any samples will have had to be taken at the same time of the event? I didn't say it was valid or might work in Nick's favour. I'm just guessing in the absence of any public facts. Like everyone else.

scampispeedway
Anyone refusing to take a drugs test should be treated like a drink driving refusal to take provide a breath sample at the road side or taking a test at the police station and are therefore banned for the maximum time allowed when taking to court. What happens after that? Assuming that his defence is no better than anyone else's defence for not complying with testing procedure, and he gets a ban off the SCB, then what? More facilities until the end of the year? Is there a record for the fewest number of meetings a team has ever appeared with a full complement of 7 "own" riders, in a 2-season period? Ironically one of the few wins this year was when they actually did field their own 7-man team.
