Steve Shovlar
Well Pirate boys not fancying the track at the moment. Keeps it interesting. Cook bros tailed right off. Swindon up for it! daz9100
Sam Hagon doing much better than expected. He’s doing well on a track he’s never ridden Edited May 10, 2023 by daz9100
Steve Shovlar
Well done to Sam Hagon who nearly won heat 14 but git pipped at the post by Kyle. Doyle far and away a mile better yhan every other rider. Messed ip heat 13 and was third but ref put on rdd light after second bend and warned Doyle!
Mike0310
What was up with zach cook tonight even young Hagon beat him I’m not being critical I’m just asking a question.as for some people questioning Poole for putting this meeting on good on them I say I’d love to see a gp rider like Doyle in a meeting at my club good on you Poole for thinking of your fans. Aries
Shame from a Poole perspective they couldn’t get Rew’s signature. Looks miles ahead of the Cook’s talent wise. A few meetings around here and he’d be scoring bucket loads in the championship.
daz9100
Zach was apparently on a different engine tonight. Hope he doesn’t use that one again.

Steve Shovlar
Still a reasonable entertaining meeting and I was rooting for young Sam Hagen in heat 14 for his first win. Doyle was head and shoulders above the opposition. Heat 13 should never have been called back though as he penalised himself. Hopefully Swindon can sort out a track and return to league racing. A shame there were only a handful of Robins fans in attendance though.
Jaizer
Well colour me surprised. I'm big enough to admit when I'm wrong. Birmingham must have a decent chance of a result at Poole...

Seriously if anyone needs a 2 pointer at Poole he's your guy! 20 minutes ago, rearingtogo said: Is rossiter managing the team? Well that result was a surprise. Yeah, he seemed to be enjoying himself..said the Poole track is the best it's been for a while (thanks to the rain I think!) 8 minutes ago, Aries said: Shame from a Poole perspective they couldn’t get Rew’s signature. Rew said he wanted to concentrate on Poland rather than ride Champ, which is fair enough. 3 minutes ago, Steve Shovlar said: Still a reasonable entertaining meeting and I was rooting for young Sam Hagen in heat 14 for his first win. A shame there were only a handful of Robins fans in attendance though. Me too! Was hoping he was going to make the gate and he did in second attempt as in the first attempt of the race he completely missed it. Half a lap away from a race win at Poole. That was probably the best challenge meeting I have seen in a long time! Scoreline back and forth, good racing (thanks to the rain - more grip than usual!) and riders completely going for it every race. Just watching the racing you would not have thought it was a challenge meeting!
LisaColette
Interestingly the Poole team average tonight was just over 41 with Dougie's average and Swindon slightly over 43. And what was the score after H14, when everyone had 4 rides? 41-43!!

SteveLyric2
Certainly some fast race times with Doyley recording the fastest of the season so far in heat one. Track grades after every 2 heats agreed with both teams and ref after the track walk! With Doyley so much faster than everyone, some of the races were a bit processional but nonetheless a decent challenge in front of a sparse crowd - maybe the presence of a GP rider doesn't attract more fans if its a meaningless meeting??!! Normally refs aren't allowed to watch replay of a stream for league meetings as not every club provides it but not sure if it is different in a challenge meeting.

I remember years ago I think it was Geo stancl got excluded for touching the tapes and thankfully snapper was down at the tapes and was the blatant was the opposition rider touched first. Referee asked to see his pictures and reversed his decision. Surely if there's video evidence you use it. Mental

I guess they think it is unfair that you can watch a replay at Poole and potentially change your decision and not have the same option at Glasgow, for instance. It could change the league table in theory. Although that was last season it might have changed for this season! Especially as only 3 teams don't stream? Oxford, Glasgow and Berwick?

Was Christina the ref at Oxford could really done with it when said Jacob hook fell off on his own when clearly got wiped out lol. Yeah they should use anything they have available to them to make correct decision. Most need all the help they can get!!!
