Speedball
A decent 3rd place for Jan Kvech at Gillman today. Meeting won by Jack Holder, with his brother Chris 2nd. Decent field with the likes of Fricke, Lidsay, Brennan & Masters also riding in the meeting.

Well deserved for a Stars legend. Hopefully the weather is kind and I imagine he’ll assemble a good field considering his standing in the sport. Sure they will be plenty of GP boys looking for track time at the start of the season. F1 Stock cars at Lynn the night before let’s hope the weather is kind on the Saturday night and will be an all nighter I’d say turning the stadium around for 3pm Sunday . Hamish McRaker
What about having a competition running through the season, called Riding-Order Bingo? Supporters, and not just KL fans, are given the chance to submit their prediction of the Stars 1-5 riding order ahead of each match for a £1 stake, with the winners sharing 75% of the total staked, and the other 25% going to the club?

There is a podcast dedicated to the Young Stars coming out soon (hopefully tomorrow). It features Jason Pipe, Jody Scott, Cooper Rushen and Calum Mitchell. Race nights were mentioned and likely to be a Wednesday on weeks when the Stars don’t have a home meeting. All fixtures subject to final confirmation but Young Stars likely to start away at Birmingham mid-April. Since my original post I have been told draft fixtures show Young Stars at Kent Eagles in mid August. Looking forward to hearing the podcast.

StarBoy
What do we think the format and standard/lineups for Puk’s testimonial will be? It would be great to see him get some big names over considering his standing in the sport - but can’t see that happening, unfortunately. I’ll go with a King’s Lynn Stars Select vs Denmark for the format. Standard league match format. My guess at lineups would be: KLSS 1. R Lambert 2. Harris 3. Lawson 4. B Cook 5. Janowski 6. Kerr 7. Boughen Denmark 1. Iversen 2. Jeppessen 3. Jepsen Jensen 4. Klindt 5. Kildemand 6. Borke 7. Knudsen

Farmers arms at Knights Hill were doing fabulous carvery before Xmas and would imagine still are. Good food and place was busy. Suggest checking it is still on and book table

The Lattice House in the town centre is a good option; also Bank House or Marriotts Warehouse along the quay
