King's Lynn Stars 2025

If they opted out of being a rising star then they would seriously reduce their options and potentially not a get a ride at all. Having to ride somewhere because you’ve been picked is a complete nonsense. Riders MUST have a say in where they want to go.

Or...

Simply lose the RS position completely, and run six rider teams with riders all over 4 point averages...

Having so many lads well out of their depth, basically beating each other, isn't good for them and the entertainment value on view, given so many finish half a straight behind the GP lads..

It would mean one less "contrived" rule too isn't required, and ultimately not followed, too...

Let them ride in the 2nd Div and maybe be a "reserve" in the top league to come in if a rider gets injured during a meeting. Remaining in and around the GP lads, to gain experience on how they prepare themselves, bikes etc...

The less "contrived rules" the more chance the sport has of gaining some wider coverage and publicity, and, if nothing else, helps keep the "regulars" attending...

Many of whom have simply stopped attending over the years due to the nonsense that goes on through implementing regulations that are full of holes, or simply ignored...

Lynn look solid and could be dark horses if they all stay fit. Whoever they have at reserve is going to clean up in all honesty. Kvech could add a load to his average, Lawson will get you 7, Iversen ditto. Harris will average 6.5 over a season like he always does.

Could be a real tasty team if Boughen reaches his potential and has stopped rubbishting himself at the first turn.

Lynn however have had history of building teams on paper that look class and it never happens for them.

What are KL fans expecting?? He only managed 3.10 at home in 24 at a specialist track.

Certainly wouldn't go expecting much, if at all, better than that. He's very very raw.

Bags of ability but he’s completely lacking confidence, was shutting off before the first corner afraid to mix it, KL fans shouldn’t expect to much of him too soon no but I think it’s a fair expectation for him to contend first turns

His best three performances last year were at Workington, Redcar and Glasgow - all tracks with reputations for good racing - so is KL the right place for him?

if we are talking about sunday his machine sounded awful in his first two rides and he clearly had it sorted by his last outing

not saying he isnt lacking confidence but that wasnt the main issue sunday imo

not sure the type of track really matters

if he can gate consistently on a given night at any track he will score well as when he gets fresh air he is seriously rapid

being in traffic seems to be his weakness but there is plenty to work with and he is young enough to sort that out with the right guidance

That’s the choice they should have… opt out of being a rising star and hope they still get picked as a number 6 or stay as a rising star and go wherever they’ve been chosen to go 🤷🏻‍♂️ simple as that

Bike problem there was metal found in his fuel tank after the meeting which is why he was losing power.

Poor old turn out for P&P last night.  Was good to see 5 of them going full tilt on a well prepared track.  Q&A was OK even though Richard and Jan couldn't make it.  Track shop wasn't present as I thought they'd be, had money burning in my pocket lol  Think I may have messed up regarding a season ticket, there was a cut off date arghhhhh

Does Lawson ever show up for press and practices.

always annoys me that he never does

Very few. He can’t be bothered with them usually and he makes no secret of that. A few clubs he’s ridden for though have insisted he turns up or else. Ipswich was one of them.

Don’t think I’ve ever known a press and practice with two missing riders before. Reading Racers in the 80s often had 6 and would choose the number 7 at press and practice depending on who impressed most on the day.
out of the 5 who were present there seemed to be 3 different variations of race suit    Boughens was a lot darker blue than the rest and Harris and cooks suit used different blues compared to klint and iversen.
Phil Morris is trying to get the sport to look and be more professional.  He must be in despair.

There is absolutely no excuse for that lack of professionalism. Others manage it, so why can’t Lynn? The whole idea of press day in particular is to get the team photos done and promote the bloody sport! Can’t do that if riders don’t bother turning up 🙄

Pathetic.

I heard that the Lynn race suits are slightly different colour because they are made by 2 different brands, due to riders personal contracts with those brands 👍🏻 so that’s why the blues aren’t identical… Klindt and NKI use the same brand (hense why theirs are the same) and the other 5 use a second different brand

I know at Ipswich there are 4 different manufacturers but obviously black is the same everywhere.
I believe colours and shades have different codes which are internationally recognised nowadays
